I usually finish the books I buy, even if I feel bored. I remember two books in particular. One was about a werewolf running around and killing others every two or three pages. I really wondered how that author found a publisher. The plot of the other book sounded interesting. But the author described gipsy life in detail. It did not further the plot and it was all so boring. I finished the book just because of the money I had spent.
Yes. He might just be confused himself, which could result in inappropriate and perhaps awkward actions. Just an idea. It's up to you, of course. Your story concept is very interesting.
He might have weird concepts that he's unaware of maybe. For instance: sex sells and love = sex --> love sells --> I can buy your love --> giving presents, but showing no true interest in the other person's life and personality (past, present, future; thoughts, ideas, plans, worries, hobbies, interests, habits, etc; all the things that make a person unique and special).
This is a very grave topic. I could imagine that many readers object to the ending. I'm not sure I could do what Ricky did. And I'm not sure he really made the right choice. Only little time has passed and the decision is too hasty.
But I know from personal experience what it means to watch someone suffer tremendously. My grandmather was in a coma for several months because of cerebral bleeding. No chance to ever wake up again. It was a tragedy, and we actually asked the doctors to stop life-sustaining measures, which they denied. My grandmother died when she was taken from intensive care to a foster home. I then felt, and still do, that death came as a release. Her soul had been trapped and now was free to go.
I very much enjoyed this story. I first thought it was set in outer space and I was truly interested in what was going on. I had no doubt they were looking for Herk's sister. So, Herk's bond mate was a true surprise. I stopped short at the word Adam, yet still thought the story was a sci-fi story. So, the ending really took me by surprise. It was unexpected. I had to change my view on the story rather abruptly. The sudden turn made me stop and think and really get the message of the story. Very good
This is an amazing story. It really drew me in. And I'm oh so curious. What happened in the past? What will happen in the future? I definitely want to read more
