    Chapter 5

I'm thoroughly enjoying your story. Very solid character development. Dialogue is also a strength. Well done.
  2. Exactly!! BC Lions all the way! The CFL championship game (Grey Cup game) is in Vancouver. It only makes sense that we should win. After spending half a billion dollars on upgrading our stadium, BC taxpayers deserve some....uhmmm......payback! Please ignore the fact that we got field goal'd to death by a third place eastern team. That was a staistical outlier! Yup!
  3. I would support a sports forum. That said, I would caution that it could be a moderators' nightmare.

    Chapter 1

This was incredibly sad, especially since it's based on a true story. It reminded me of Tennyson's poem..."tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Tennyson was speaking of a dear friend who had passed away, but the sentiment still holds true here. Very well written, Greg! Thanks.
  5. I believe it could be argued that any author should consistently be out of his comfort zone. That is where excellence lies. Then again, I could be wrong. I was wrong.....well, just that once. Superb job on this story, Marky! Thanks.

    From One to Another

Stimulating chapter, I must say! Sexual dominance and submission traits within the human psyche are rarely explored. You're doing an excellent job with this story.
  7. Just gulped this story down....well, over the past few days. I'm enjoying it immensely. In particular, your characterizations are excellent. The dialogue is superb.
  8. Sweet, sweet story, Marky! Love and adventure in fey-dom! Who would have thought! Living under a rock...no wonder Dixton was such a sourpuss. So I'm wondering what Arwen's reaction will be once he learns Dixton is no more? Really a fun read!
  9. One of the gaps in this story is how much Derek's mom knows about what has gone on between Derek and his father. Mind you, she does seem clueless around the blood stained jacket. Otherwise she wouldn't have returned it to Derek. Then again, maybe she is aware of how the blood got on the jacket and is hoping the jacket will "jog" Derek's memory. It's all so strange that dad hasn't been home for years and both Derek and his mom are (or seem to be) ok with this - it's like the pink elephant sitting there that neither Derek nor his mon talk about. Very strange indeed. Then again, maybe it was mom who sent dad packing over the jacket incident. There's a bit of a clue there when mom tells Derek that she's proud of the young man he is becoming - in the sense of she feared otherwise. Anyways this is all plot stuff and you'll get to it when you get to it. <sigh> So will Derek or his mom warn Mrs. C and Charlie about dad's plan to put them in the street? Mrs. C is a force to be reckoned with. It may well be that dad hasn't taken that into account. Further, I can't imagine dad will take Derek's "challenge" sitting down. There could be a price to pay there. I have this uneasy feeling Derek's dad is about to make his first trip home in years. Not good. So, Hamen, I hope you're pleased with yourself....you have me running around in circles. Super chapter!!
  10. You are truly evil, Jwolf! The kids' decisions are left in the air. Chase and Coop are left in the air. A nearly naked Morgan is in Chase's hotel room. This chapter alone will likely earn you a nomination for the dreaded King of Cliffhangers award! I know people who can make that happen! Just sayin' I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewers who complimented Spencer and Bass for having Coop's back. I knew Morgan was going to make an appearance, but I didn't expect him to show up in Dallas. I thought Chase would have to make a trip to LA. After thinking about it, though, this makes more sense. Coop gets to meet Morgan. It does have drama appeal. Coop's request to the judge to keep his kids together really choked me up. A very touching moment. I'm very proud of him for that. Another stupendous chapter!!

    Chapter 10

A sensational ending to a superb story! Thanks, KC! Government by committee, eh? Oh yeah, that'll work!! I hope the boys don't have to start putting saltpeter into Shade's food!

    Chapter 1

Not having ever been to a "real" Scottish wedding, that was a treat! I enjoyed this opening chapter immensely. I'm wondering if Donald and Calum will even make it to breakfast. Calum on the oil riggs sounds like a story in itself as well. Hoping there will be some of that....please!

    Going Home

Fantastic ending! My favourite chapter, really. Thanks so much for this great story.!
  14. Totally superb chapter!! The best one yet....which is really saying something! Wieners definitely fall into the category of glaring symbolism. There's nothing subtle about a wiener. The danger here, of course, is overplaying it. You handled it quite deftly. "Would you like a wiener?" Will this question turn out to be prophetic? The closing scene was truly moving.
  15. Coop is not in love with Kyle. On a rational level, it makes no sense whatsoever. Of course, this begs the question when was love ever rational? When it comes to love, the last thing Coop is is rational. On the other hand, Kyle is rational to a fault. He schemes, he plots. Kyle's heart is not on his sleeve. It never has been. In my mind, this chapter only confirms that he hasn't changed one iota since the college days. Now that Winston serves no purpose, he's tossed aside. Kyle's a great guy! My sense is Coop is overwhelmed with guilt over Kyle breaking it off with Winston. He feels responsible somehow. Add to that that Kyle is pulling all-nighters on divorce law. Coop feels he owes the guy. Coop is not responsible for Kyle's happiness. Hopefully he'll come to his senses about that. It's not surprising that Chase will react negatively to Coop's admission. Now we'll see what kind of fight is really in him. Storyline aside for a moment, Monsieux Jwolf, you do weave a fine tale.

    Chapter 9

Let me just say the wait was worth it. The ending to this chapter was....GULP....very satisfying. Looking forward to the concluding chapter. Thanks.
  17. Ok, I was expecting far for "entertainment" in that chapter. My gawd, is there a human heart beating somewhere in James' chest? It would seem that poor Sam had to bear the brunt of all that pent up aggression. Please, Master Marky, I beg you, Adam must get what he needs!!
  18. hmmmm...woman psychologist with a large blade and a killer look on her face.... I think we're looking at a psychotic break...and it ain't the doctor's. That's serious stuff. I think things get scary from here on in. Whatever this is, you've set it up nicely. Well done!

    Chapter 12

Great chapter to end the story, Greg!! I do have to say, though, that it was too long. I've read smaller novellas. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole story. Seeing that Cindy has been behaving herself for several chapters now, I'll definitely give her an "upgraded" character rating.

    A Fairy Story

Alas, methinks Marky and Stuby had better watch out. The Dark Lord Dixton could show up anytime, anywhere. Fascinating story and, yes, very descriptive. It's great that you're challenging yourself here. This stuff is pure imagination.
  21. Winston doesn't care for Coop! Ok, no surprise there. Good on Kyle for being honest about his reasons for wanting to have the dinner. It tells me he wants to make things work with Winston; it tells me he really is moving on. I'm glad Coop is going to run with it as well. Spencer makes a solid point, though. Will seeing Coop and Chase together and in love appease Winston? Spencer certainly doesn't think so. My guess is that Winston will play nice and try and go with it. Whatever is in the back of his mind on this issue, we may never know. Winston likely sees himself as Kyle's second choice; that's always a bitter pill to swallow. Chase is being perfect. I truly believe he's being sincere. He's now Coop's rock. Whatever happens on the kids front, Coop will survive it. The love scene was.....GULP.....very satisfying.
  22. Another incredible chapter, Andy! I just don't want this story to end. Just loving it. So how about 3 chapters or so where we get to listen in to the jury's deliberations?

    Chapter 11

Wow! That was intense. Really well written, Greg! My favourite part was Mike getting his nose rearranged. Go Zackie Go!

    A New Beginning

The descriptive passages were really well done. I'm slightly confused over Michael's sexuality. In this chapter, he portrays himself as a womanizer, with homophobic tendencies to boot. Yet in chapter 1, there seemed to be an attraction to Loren.

    Afterlife

I'm intrigued, for sure. Great opening chapter!
