This was definitely my favourite chapter! No surprise there, I suppose. Jason's a hoot...still. Love that guy. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Cindy. Kneeing Alex in the balls to impress upon him how serious she was, was a little over the top (chapter 8). To me at least, she's comes across as a controlling bitch with a gross mouth. Why would she think being in love with Zack gave her special privledges? So I'm thinking there will have to be some sort of confrontation between Zack and his parents. I hope to see Zack to come into his own in that scene. Once again, great chapter!

An excellent piece of verse, Marky! I remember someone telling me or perhaps I read it somewhere...poems don't rhyme anymore; Shakespeare used up all the good ones. I'm glad that's not the case. I particularly enjoyed the poem's rhythm as you carried us from a time of dread, through endurance and struggle, to hope and love. The last line was just ...perfect!

Really enjoyed the story. Thanks. One glaring typo - Defiantly should read Definitely. So, will there be any stories where someone hits on the bartender???

It's great that Derek wants to apologize, but he hasn't really begun to face his demons as yet. If he thinks everything is going to be nicey-nicey even when he does apologize, he's in for a rude awakening. His betrayal of Charlie was quite severe. I don't get that Derek is truly feeling remorse over what he did. He just wants things to be "normal" again.

Kinda disappointed I didn't get to hear Addie and Lucca's conversation outside the shop. I feel like a lugworm about to be scooped up and used for bait.

All these gay boys around and not a single smooch to show for it! Oh, wait a minute, I just remembered. There was a smooch, Jeremy and some mystery boy...but that was like 16 chapters ago! And, I might add, not very satisfying. Just sayin'.

Talk about coitus interruptus! That was cruel and unusual punishment! I was ready. Coop was most certainly ready. All of a sudden it's, "Stop the presses!" You just wouldn't believe the intense, gutteral groan I let out at that moment. I just need you to tell me that the 21 days is not real time. Pretty please?? Frankly, I'm of two minds on that scene as far as Chase's behaviour is concerned. I really want to believe he caught himself at the last possible moment and cautioned Coop about doing something he might regret. That is totally sweet! On the other hand, Chase had to be aware that Coop was pretty vulnerable and Chase was basically setting himself up as a really great guy - as in manipulative. Until I work this out, I'm blaming the author for my nasty feelings! I believe Devon is in for a rude awakening once her kids get wind of the move to Chicago. Liz especially will tear a strip off her. Can't wait for that. One observation that I made some time ago but haven't expressed as yet is how difficult it is to like/accept the partners that our best friends choose. I have personal experiences around that and it certainly seems to be the case with our four buds here. Curious, isn't it, Monsieur? All in all, a truly an amazing chapter, Jwolf!!

It's irrational to talk to your dick?? Geez, all this time, I never knew. There goes my only idea for a story - Conversations with my Dick. Jason is an absolute hoot! The plastic bag line and the sharpshooter line were just too funny. Well, Greg, I believe you're the first author here at GA to write great sex without anyone actually having sex. Seriously though, it strikes me that the whole shower scene must have been difficult to write, you know, to get it right. You definitely got it right. Well done!

A whole chapter of yuks, sweetness and caring??? What is GA coming to? Totally loved it! Well, there was that little cliffie at the end. But seeing that the next chapter is posted, who cares!

For me, a great story means great dialogue. That last scene with Micah and Patrick was exquiste. You have a way of weaving humour and the important stuff so seamlessly, so naturally. Exceptional, really!

The "stay, don't go" scene was just fabulous. Loved it! Especially Jason's begging. It was a great pick-me-up after Josh's talk with his mom. It amazes me that parents do that and are often oblivious to it. Grandparents can be bad too when they have a fave grandchild.

Really great dialogue. Humourous and sweet at the same time. You did a superb job conveying Zack's embarrassment. Alex's dad is a hoot and a super guy. Fave chapter so far.

I totally loved the scene where Rebecca yelled, "You!" - with locker doors coming off their hinges and other catastrophic results - great imagery there. Made me laugh. Gave the "King" pause, for sure. Mikey was brilliant! Insight and compassion, who woulda thunk! Good on him. He definitely pushed Derek to a place where he could "feel" his remorse. So Derek needs to find a way to talk to Charlie - especially if he wants a private conversation. Something tells me Travis might get in the way of that. What does Charlie want? Is Mikey right about Charlie? Next chapter can't come soon enough - as always. Great story! Thanks!

I having a great deal of difficulty with the fact that the assault in the mall is not going to be reported to the police - not even by the father. It just doesn't wash, especially in light of the violent death suffered by their mother. Creating drama like that and not following through on it properly turns this story into a farce.

Great opening chapter, Yanks! Nice pacing, good characters, decent dialogue.

Excellent chapter, Cassie! Keith is dead. I feel so much better. Brandon did well, all things considered, getting the drop on Elizabeth. I imagine her days are numbered, if not already over. Sumna has a lot of explaining to do. I can't imagine the guards will pursue our heroes. They're essentially without a leader of any kind.

So I had to google kedgeree - sounds delicious. Wanton wench - I really like that expression. If I couldn't be gay, I'd definitely go for wanton wench! So is it conditioning or is Jenny learning new things about herself? I'm curious as to how that will play out. Alas, Adam and Jenny must be caught Otherwise we won't have much of a story. We haven't seen the real James yet?? Can't wait! Great chapter, Marky!

I can't get enough of this story! Milton's dialogue while chewing out Rankin in his roberoom was just brilliant. I was hanging on to every word. Superb chapter!!

I totally loved this chapter! The whole boat thing was a great idea, so kudos to Chase for coming up with it and selling it to Coop. Did Chase set things up to his best advantage? Of course he did. We all do that. It's called putting your best foot forward. Chase is no dummy. He knows his days are numbered if he can't get into relationship with Coop's kids. He's made a great start! Coop took several giant steps forward in this chapter, both as a father and an honourable man. I believe the highlight was how well he listened to Liz when she expressed her fears about never being a family again - a very honest and vulnerable moment for both of them. This was an incredibly intense chapter - emotions emerging from all directions. You weaved it expertly.

Great job on this story, KC! I was thinking I should have clued in when Jordan's boss said something like, "Come back when you've worked out your demons!" But I didn't. So, is Jordon still looking for a roommate?
