    Chapter 1

Your poet side comes through strongly in your descriptive passages. I enjoyed that very much. It's always a great reminder of the strength of lanuage to evoke emotion even around simple things like a tree or farm or house, especially when plied by an author of your skill. Truly a touching story. Thank you.

    Chapter 1

I loved the way you described Harlin's complete devotion to his father. He just "knew" his father would't act out of simple malice or revenge. It was hard to hold back my contempt for the father, but I sensed something else was at play here. When Harlin finally bared his soul to Stefren...well, that moment of vulnerability was such a sweetness, but painfully so. It tugged at my heart. I felt Telg's pride in Harlin. The pride only a father can feel for a son. For any son, it is perhaps the ultimate gift. The dialogue between Harlin and Stefren was incredibly skillful. You took them from a place where their feelings for each other and their "misunderstanding" were unknown to the other (and to the reader) to a place, well, to the kiss. It was a fine weave.

    Chapter 1

A scrumptious little side story here, Marky. Well done! Two days floating in the cold ocean, losing grip and having to flail away back to the surface... not for me. Of course, that's the landlubber in me talking.

    Chapter 4

I absolutely love this story! Good dialogue and humour make for an unbeatable combination and you've got it here in spades. To top it all off, the storyline if refreshingly different. Definitely want more!!
  5. Well Roger came through for Andy big time. I had a feeling that he would. Of course, he still had to go through that "why didn't you trust me" thing that just about every best straight friend seems to have. Thankfully, it was short lived. I suppose we all knew JT would be back at some point. I was very proud of the way Andy responded to JT's threat. JT's dad sounds like a real sweet guy - apples don't fall far from the tree and all that. Great chapter, Billy!!

    Chapter 1

Excellent job on this chapter, my fine Scotsman!! The "tentativeness" was nicely done.

    Chapter 1

I always did think that Judas got a bum deal. Definitely a setup! This story proves I'm right! Just so you know, the "Status" is shown as complete on the story index page. Which it isn't, right? Really enjoyed the chapter and will surely follow the story. Thanks.
  8. Dave doesn't talk to his dick? How odd! I mean a lot of guys give it a name. Isn't that so they can talk to it? Loved the scene where Dave rambles on about squirrels and kangaroos. Too funny! The opening dream sequence was cruel, I tell you. Why do all authors have this evil streak as in "Let's torture the readers a little bit!"? Quite erotic though. On an editing note, wasn't Tyler at Dave's place (not the bar) when he got the phone call about his son? Editors can be helpful.

You are one one sly dawg, KC! I can just see you sitting there with that cheshire cat smile on your face. "I've got them all fooled", you're saying. You're gloating....and loving it. I'm now convinced that I will never know what the F--- is in the box. You know what? I don't care anymore. Are Max and Too Close the same person? I don't care about that either. On second thought, I need to know. I need some release here. I feel like Percy who hasn't cum in eons. Help me, KC, help me!
  10. What really fascinated me about this chapter was Derek's thought processes as he weaved his way to the best solution he could come up with, more specifically, the best solution to keep Charlie safe. There wasn't a single moment when that goal wasn't uppermost in his mind. If that meant sacrificing himself in the process, then so be it. I believe Charlie is bright enough to have figured out Derek's motives in all this. I don't know for sure, of course, but back in Derek's room after the assault, when Charlie said they had to get to a hospital, Derek did say this, I wonder how much Charlie has thought of that day and how things turned out, especially when Derek asked him at The Spot if he was gay. Charlie said no. I wonder if he regrets that answer now. Of course, he was around 11 years old at the time. What could he really know about being gay? Loving Derek was a given. He was "Hero". If Charlie had told his mom about that day, somehow he managed to convince her not to do anything. I wonder how she feels about all this now. Does she regret that decision. If she did know, she didn't tell Derek's mother. How could she ever begin to justify that? As a mother and an adult, she had to realize that Derek's safety was seriously in question as well. Well, Hamen, the very least I can say is this chapter was thought provoking. Another brillant chapter!!
  11. Excellent work! Enjoying it very much! The switch from Tiny Tim to Huge Tim was inspirational. Looking forward to the next chapter.
  12. Another "poppycock" poll. There's a presupposition here that gay men cannot have sex with women. Gay men can and do have sex with women. They can even enjoy it. Believe me, if all the gay men, particularly from my generation and earlier, hadn't married (a woman) and had children, there'd be a lot fewer of us around. Many of you had fathers who were gay but went to their graves with that knowledge without ever revealing it, some not even allowing themselves to admit it. Today's culture/societal norms allows gay men to live their sexuality more honestly, not all gay men, but certainly the majority. So, yeah, they tend to go with what they prefer - men. That doesn't mean they are incapable of heterosexual realationships.
  13. This chapter was hilarious right from the opening scene!! I'm thinking Robert knows more than he's letting on but is letting things play out. I'll just have to wait and see. Definitely looking forward to more Ugly Davey.
  14. Well I suppose something nasty had to happen once we learned of the blood stained jacket. Still ripped my heart out though. My admiration for Derek did increase tenfold, with him wanting to make sure Charlie was safe in spite of his condition. The scene leading up to the kiss was really sweet, particularly Derek with his "let's help each other out here" approach. Made me smile. I have so many questions but they're all plot related. So I'll keep them to myself or maybe post in your forum and see what others think. Horrific scenes such as this one are always difficult to pull off. Superbly written, Hamen!!
  15. Happy B-Day, Comic!!
  16. In my mind, I'm trying to dissect your writing style. I think I'm wasting my time. In case you're unsure, that's a compliment. I do find the narrator's reflections enjoyable, challenging actually, both in terms of comprehesion and application to my own life. Love is a story that can only be created or inhabited, never both. I'm still working on that one.
  17. Looks like we're about to find out how good a friend Roger is. Sweet chapter, Billy!!

You must be great in the foreplay department, KC, you are stretching this to the Max (pun intended ). Max and Percy meeting? Forget that! I want to know what's in the box!! Rusty sounded kinda nice.

    A Tree Like This

A beautiful story, Anyta, beautifully told. A lesson there too about the secrets we keep.
  20. As for Liz's decision to move to Chicago with her mom, my first impression is that she really hasn't thought it through very well. She seemed all caught up in the excitement of a big city - important stuff like shopping and restaurants and, of course, tall buildings. That can get old pretty quick. So, yes, she's being wonderfully shallow right now. Maybe to appease Mike, she'll boink his brains out as a goodbye present. Am I sounding bitter? The thing is Coop wants his kids to be together, to grow up with each other. That translates into Coop convincing CJ that he go with his mom as well, regardless of what CJ may decide what's right for him. This situation totally sucks. Coop is devasted. At least it will take his mind off Morgan. I don't even want to start in on Spencer. Yes, he cares. He cares a lot. But what deam world is he living in? So, Jwolf, apart from the storyline sucking the big one right now, another fantastic chapter. You sure can tell good tail....oops...I mean you sure can tell a good tale!
  21. It's a fine web you're weaving here. A long. long time ago, when I was in high school, I loved the math course I did on permutations and combinations but, I must say, my head's beginning to spin with what you've presented us with here. Ok, I'm gonna join up with the Q Man and say you're evil. Great story!
  22. The storyline here is definitely unique - quite refreshing actually. Well done. I'm planning to read more.
  23. I just loved the name Fizzdick. And a hip twink playing the Ghost of Christmas Past. Made me laugh. Great chapter! Looking forward to the next installment.
  24. I enjoyed this work very much. Thanks.

    Chapter 4

When Nathan said he could only use the typewriter due to his porn surfing, I just lost it. Another great chapter!
