  1. I've always considered myself to be articulate in expressing myself. After reading Chap 15, I was reduced to speaking the vernacular of my youth.....saying insightful things such as "WOW!" and "HOLY f**K!" That chapter had everything in the way of human emotion. Believe me. Everything. Conner
  2. Well, Steve, I guess maybe you shudda put "The End" at the end of the chapter because the closing paragraph definitely leaves room for more story. As things are, we're all ready for the next "nine months" (in the story). That's what fans do, Steve. We always want more. Great story! Thanks for that. Conner
  3. I know you're a lurker, CJ. You've admitted it so many times! Conner
  4. Great chapter! I thought Stacy was rather harsh with Michael when she said Rob was meant for "your path, not mine." Anyway, Micheal didn't seem upset by it. He seemed more concerned that he's have to teach the dude. I'll tell you one thing, spell "delivery" just got a lot more fascinating. Michael's decision around his relationship with Jeremy kinda sucks. He can't see himself being faithful to Jeremy. It seems Michaet has already forgotten Jamie's words from the night before....
  5. The vote is not even close and the Capricans are whining and doing the sour grapes thing. The matter was put to a vote and there is a clear winner. The Herd wins. We have a name. It's time to get on with growing the Herd. Conner Founding Member The Herd P.S. Everyone who voted is a founding member.
  6. Good on ya for wearing the shirt all day. Going to the meeting isn't some test you have to pass. If you're gonna wretch in the first five minutes, don't go until you have a better handle on it. Fear of exposure is something we all have inately. It's up there with fear of falling, dying and losing one's mind. I know you're doing this for yourself...to learn about yourself, help yourself...or whatever. But messing with a part of yourself that's just not ready isn't the answer either. There are always options. Conner
  7. Now that's a far better plotline than making bombs. After Chase gets the leather pants off Brandon, he then insists that Brandon remove his loincloth! So Jon and Eric will bring two of the vestal virgins (or maybe all 3) back to the hotel. Jon will politely ask Brandon to go stay in Chase's room. Et voila! It's great to know that Jon and Eric are prepared to sacrifice themselves for their bro and bandmate. Conner
  8. I just couldn't believe that CJ turned last chapter's kiss into a non-kiss. One of my favourite sayings is, "Revenge is sweet!" Who can tell me what the typo is in the following paragraph? Conner
  9. Happy B-Day, Mike!!! No longer a teenager. That must suck! So, take a day off today from being Mr. Responsible and party! Conner
  10. I get it. You wrote this chapter so you could use the word "penultimate". Went scrambling for the dictionary hoping it had something to do with orgy. Gabe and Martin are sweet. Don't try and knock me out....'cause that's what I would do. I think the bathroom scene with our two heroes could have been enlarged. I wonder how many (American) tourists were snapping pics of the fountain after the incident. I'm sure Lord Nelson was not amused. Great job, Camy! Conner
  11. That would be nada. The person below me is a Annie Lennox fan.
  12. Basically, I prefer to write it down. Passwords for sites I don't visit regularly have to be written down, usually I keep the confirming email. I do know the PIN for my bank card by heart. Would you rather sleep (when you don't have company) nude or underwear only or jammies
  13. Happy B-Day, Steve!!! Time to stop counting, eh? Conner

    Strange Magic

Nick, I'd be a little more direct with your dad. Let him know that you sense his anger goes beyond you being rude and such. Tell him briefly what you're feeling around it (like you're anxious and fearful) and just ask if there something else going on that he wants to talk about. Your feelings around his possible "separation anxiety" could well be the case. This is a perfectly normal response from parents. If it's around you being gay, it is more likely he's anxious about not being able to protect you once you're out there on your own. Your dad might not even understand why he's angry and taking it out on you. Men are notoriously lousy at identifying their own feelings. So you might have to throw a few ideas at him....if only to get them off your list. Conner
  15. Chapter 7 was excellent, Carl. I'm admiring Zach more and more. At first, I wasn't too happy with him wanting to break it off with Jeremy, but he finally convinced me it was the right thing to do. I'm thinking Jeremy will thank him one day. I hope their frienship survives. Ok, so I'm thinking Zach's gay. I'm relying on the fact that he really likes a whatsit up his butt. Can this be misdirection??? The conversation that Zach and Jeremy had was superb dialogue. Zach was at his finest. I was really touched when he mentioned his new career plan as a counsellor. Good on him! After grandpa laid the blame at Zach's feet, I was impressed with the way Zach handled that. Then grandpa had the nerve to say don't mollycoddle the boy.

    Avatar

I am so totally with glomph and James on this one. I have a completely different context around your avatar. For me, it's real, it's sexy, it's "in your face", but mostly it's "hard". I'd go with the windmill so long as you're hanging off one of it's wings as it goes around. Conner
  17. ....and this from a dude who writes great love poetry. Ok, so you're going with Dan's history on this one. Mind you, if there's one thing that authors don't like, it's being predictable. So this is possible, I agree. The dark mages dearly want 'Worthington' back in the fold. He's going to be the first 'adept' in a long time. They don't want him on the "light and lively" side. I'm not convinced, though, that killing Carl will serve that purpose. Also, Michael has shields or something installed in Carl's mind now. My last thought would be Carl deserves a break here. I see Carl staying in the story somehow...maybe sacrificing his life for Michael in some dark moment. When Jeremy said that his 3 younger brothers would be ringside taking notes if he and Michael went at it, I totally lost it. I enjoy Michael picking and choosing between light and dark. He definitely intends to walk the line. He comes across as a gunslinger with a conscience. Great story, Dan. Thanks. Conner
  18. That was the sweetest chapter! I had the same reaction as Kevin. I thought Gerald was history. Nick's a champion when it comes to misdirection. Thankfully, this one was short lived. I love a story where a 'player' (or at least someone who believes he's a player) falls hard and enjoys his own falling. Incredible irony. When Dennis says that he not only wanted to be there for Gerald, but be with him, well my heart just melted. Dennis' insight over Gerald making him breakfast in bed for dinner was amazing. In giving, we receive. Now there's a context for a happy life. Conner P.S. The love making scene was scrumptious!
  19. Happy B-Day, Ieshwar! Conner
  20. That would be no. I never pay tickets, though. It's too much fun going to traffic court. Talk about cheap entertainment. Do you own an urn....with somebody in it?
  21. Good grief! When it comes to clothes, shoes, etc I only buy impulsively...(or is that compulsively? ) especially if there's a sale. It eases my conscience. Went shopping for runners once and came out with a full length black leather coat. That's what I do my GQ poses in. Never have I taken my car to a 'business' car wash place (I always go to one of those fundraising groups at a local gas station. I pay a lot of money for a lousy wash. )
  22. Yes, but only in private and never in front of a mirror. That takes all the mystique out of it. The person below me has to go out in the rain tonight.
  23. World Premiere! Wow! And to think I was here for it! Well, I'm dying to hear more about Gerald. Is he a player too? It seems he hasn't initiated any exchange on the nature of the relationship either. Doing it with your boss! That is a little wierd, I must admit. It seems Dennis was really affected by his parents' fighting. There's no way he wants to end up in a relationship like that. I'd have to agree with him on that count. A touchless relationship....makes me shiver. It's always ironic when life steps in and turns you on your head, especially when you have found that nice, comfortable and safe niche. But that's not living. So, Dennis, it seems you're in for a ride. Nice job, Nick. Conner
  24. So, the title of your story, Everyone's Wounded, does that apply to your readers too? I'm feeling so crappy over Josh's situation. I'm suggesting that you amend the title to read: Everyone's Wounded...Or Soon Will Be. That was a superb chapter, cliffhanger and all. I particularly enjoyed the beer-induced, intimate conversation between Brandon and Scott. Excellent dialogue. I really must send kudos in Bran's direction. He is doing his utmost, alcohol driven or not, to help Scott get some clarity around Josh and Luc. That's gotta be tough for any straight dude. The closing scene of that converstion where Scott thinks back to his love making with Josh....well, that was just beautifully done. I was crying along with Scott. Then there was the closing scene for that chapter...what can I say...so heart wrenching. Conner
  25. I would rather die than move my computer. I'm sure I'd get stuck on step one. Conner
