Wish I could say that this was uncommon but it isn't. I agree that the barrier is probably some residual elvish power or ability.

I have worked with victims of rape before; this is often how they feel. Writing was spot on and very powerful; good job.

On a certain level I don't know if any crime is worse than rape; not even murder. Does not matter if the victim is male or female; you lose your safety and in essence your sense of self.

Well, I think we all knew that Chris was going to be tied to the Elves in some way; I think that as long as the pendant was flat on Chris's skin that Victor could not see it. Only when Chris was playing with it did it become visible. I love the soccer parts of the story; gives the story a little balance.

Well, I am glad that Chris is going to get some self defense training. With those in his life like his father and Victor, you know it is going to come in handly.

Glad to see the Victor and Henry are as concerned as the rest of us are. I have a feeling that this is only the beginning of the difficulty ahead.

Have to wonder if this was purely as random as it appeared to be; have to say it is one doozy of a coincidence it it was.. The device that Chris's dad had came in handy, wonder what it was exactly.

I know the dreams started before Victor and Chris meet for the first time; but wonder if Victor being in the area helped to trigger the dreams to start. I do wish Chris would discuss the dreams either with his Dad or Victor.

Well, if Chris proves to be an elf and is returning with the hidden knowledge; does that mean that the demons are far behind? I find it funny as well that Victor hasn't noticed the chain and pendant on Chris as well.

That drive really is gorgeous. I love that Chris and Victor can just be with each other and not need anything more at times, so refreshing.

I too wonder how the pendant is going to be tied into the books and scrolls. I wonder if it will allow him some special insight or the ability to see something that would otherwise not be visible to the naked eye. Well, losing one's virginity is always or should always be special; but losing it to a vampire must rank right up there at the top. Good insight on August, and the fact we got it makes me think that we might see more of him ahead, yea...
