Kandric seems to be growing in power by leaps and bounds; have to wonder why he is acquiring it so fast, of course, finding out he is Alphar explains part of it but... Kaylaria is interesting, she is stronger than even she suspects, I believe. Sounds like their customs are a little backwards, but maybe a better explanation would help with that understanding.
-
It seems both Kandric and Aster have a lot in common. Their actions mirror each other in certain ways. I do find it odd that Aster seems to be having so many things happen to him that are just more than slightly weird. Have to wonder what is next...
-
Well written and the battle scenes were well done; very descriptive and well paced, especially the battle and fight scenes. A little more is learned each and every chapter.
-
I really liked how Aster handled himself and dealt with the others. He has skill and a wicked sense of humor as well. I can't tell at this point about Vondum; he comes across as a total ass but there is something else there, just not sure what yet.
-
Another good chapter, I did think the pacing was choppy at times but truly enjoyed everything about it. I find Aster a good second character but wondered about introducing one so quickly when we did not even have Kandric fully developed. I like how you took time to really explain the levels and even sub-levels so we had an idea of what was going on.

I have read this before; but either the comments went during the conversion or I did not make one; so I am going to do so now... I really thought this was an interesting start to the story. It have you hints of what was to come and fleshed out Kandric so that you really wanted to know more about him. The writing was good from the start and the plotting as well.

This was just such a sweet chapter; loved the writing and pacing of it all. Can't wait for the next update...

Chapter 18 Nature abhors a vacuum
centexhairysub commented on Zenith's story chapter in Chapter 18 Nature abhors a vacuum
Really enjoyed this chapter; it flowed and ebbed perfectly. I hope that they don't have any unforeseen issues with Dane; but in a situation like this, you never know. Not sure what was up with the RCMP officer; usually those of the First Nation are very pro-gay and accepting; so unsure what her issues are. Have to admit that it put a damper on the interaction. -
Leave it to Granger to find a way to try and help those that will be left with Sawyer when he comes back; unless maybe he gets captured... LOL... I really enjoyed how this chapter played out. I was surprised at how surprised Granger was that the Admiral and Captain Troubridge went out of their ways to help him; not only is he very good at his job; he is both pleasant to be around and well connected. I hope that he has the ship in top form when Sawyer gets back so that it can operate semi-efficiently even with an idiot Captain. I really like how Granger handled the dinner and did what he could to explain the situation and what he could and could not do to the officers and the others. Hopefully, they will take what he says to heart. Thanks for the chapter, can't wait for the next one.

Damn, can't get rid of the spoiler bar... Okay, Loved Loved Loved this chapter; it was just what I needed. I can see this going so many different ways. Can't wait for Will to get to Colorado and see how well he follows the advise he got on how to handle the situation with Zach, I think if he follows the advice it will work out nicely. Have to admit that I am not that interested in the deal with Tony; but I am sure it will be interesting as well. I am not so sure that Darius and Will be the ones kicking JJ's ass; in some ways, JJ has grown more in the last couple of stories than either of them and I am not sure that he is going to be the pushover they think he will be, we will see. I have started to re-read the CAP saga; but I cannot even start to imagine who Lord Preston's wife is that would have such a grudge against anyone in the family. Will have to spend some time thinking about this... Keep up the amazing work, Mark. Can't wait for the next update...

OMG, are we every getting to Chicago.... I really am enjoying this story; while I do like Raymond and Daniel, I still feel more drawn to Jeff and Paul. I can't wait for Chicago; I to sense a disturbance in the force coming; but can't tell if that is the center of it or not...

Another really good chapter; the writing was excellent. I am so glad that it appears that everyone has made it; although we still have not seen everyone. I can just feel Skold's pain as he stood their and tried so hard to pull the memories back to him. He and Dom are just good together. I can't wait to see what is next with this...

Lord, having to deal with Mann again would be beyond belief annoying for Granger and anyone competent. Should have known that anyone as deranged as Sawyer appears to be would be tied to someone else equally incompetent. Having to go to London, maybe Granger can find a way to help Cavendish; he might want to talk to Lady Granger and see what idea she could come up with. I doubt his father would be any help; he would probably agree that Cavendish should give into his father. Can't wait to see what happens next...

I had a feeling that this was either you or someone you were close to that went through this; it was just to personal and had to many small points that only someone that truly understands that life would have used. Glad to see that you made it through and found your way to the other side...

No one can help him really until he decides that he is worthy of being helped. His parents did such a good job on hurting him and then it has been reinforced enough that breaking out of that frame of mind will be hard to do; but only he can really do it. I hope that he realizes we all deserve the best out of life; no matter where we start from or what happens along the way.

I swear I am crying by the time I get two sentences into any of the last few chapters; I just can't stand to see a child hurt... There are so many people that would give anything to have a child to love and protect and yet we have so many that seem to be thrown away and just slip through the cracks never to be heard from again...
-
I don't know if I am more mad or sad about this chapter. Well written, enough that I am sitting here with tears in my eyes... I guess this happens more than most of us realize.

Don't know how I got the spoiler box up or how to get it down... LO Another good chapter; the writing and flow are really good. Can't wait to see where you go with this.

One does what is required to survive; you may not like it but the primal need to live is stronger than most realize. No sure about Dan and Andrew but hope they prove to be as honorable as they appear to be...

Brutal start to the new story; I know people like his parents but luckily never had to deal with them in my family; and I live in Texas...

Chapter 17 Getting to know friends
centexhairysub commented on Zenith's story chapter in Chapter 17 Getting to know friends
Great chapter, I really like how you have tied persons of interest from your earlier stories into this one. This chapter really flowed, just enjoyed it so much... -
Okay, I know that some are not going to like it; but I am going to completely defend JJ... I don't care what the circumstances are or how many times the guy had been f&%cked in the condo; you just don't run around nude in some place that is not yours. I don't care if he thought he was totally alone. While I don't think the JJ should be rude to Carullo, I understand his reaction. Carullo brought a guy back; that by his own admission has been there and used by two guys, and thinks that JJ is going to happy and amused by it? I think that Carullo and JJ need to sit down and have a honest to god conversation and lay some cards down on the table. We know that JJ does on some level truly like Carullo, and I sort of think that Carullo likes JJ. They just are not communicating that very well. Brad has no authority to talk or lecture JJ at all. I honestly am more disgusted by Brad and his behavior over the last couple of stories than I think I ever have been. Brad has never been my favorite person; and he may be a great businessman and lover; but honestly, he is a lousy parental figure. I liked how Will and Dally interacted, but honestly; I am getting sick of his actions and behavior as well. I did not see him confessing to Dally that his father and Will had been intimate while Dally was pouring his heart out to him. Brad and Will, and even Darius; need to get off their high horses and have a come to Jesus moment and realize that they are all as screwed up or more than JJ and are not nearly as self aware of their own issues as JJ is. I know that JJ can be a diva at times; but he at least seems to understand when he is doing so and appears to often have a reason for being that way; unlike any of the three of them... Great to have a new chapter of Black Widow, Mark and what a new chapter it was...

I am sure that I posted a review for this the first time I read it; I don't know it if did not transfer over when gayauthors.org reorganized or what... I loved this story; it is amazing how that small change in circumstances or perspective can mitigate how we view the situation and those involved. A wonderful glimpse at a turbulent time in man's history. I always wondered if Mark would expand on this; but I guess we have the Bridgemont series for our navel endeavors and I would never give that up...

Great chapter, the writing and flow were picture perfect. I can't wait to get to Chicago, I just know that there is going to be something going on up there. Maria is just way to grown up already, she is going to be the one that explains sex and actually knows what she is talking about in about fourth or fifth grade. Love it...
