Well, maybe Chris's mom wasn't totally the loser I thought earlier; maybe Michael was really such a good actor, most sociopaths are, that he had her totally fooled that he was really a good kid and a positive influence on Chris. It might be interesting at some point in this to get Chris's parents point of view somehow...

Sometimes the family you make can be more important than the family that you are born into; this maybe one of those times. Chris will have to find a way to really forgive himself for his own past before he will be able to move on with this future... Good writing and pacing in this chapter; it just flew...

Great chapter, really felt it down in my guts... Just so well written and the pacing was just right on...

It sounds like Michael had way more issues than anyone ever had any idea; what you find out here makes you sort of wonder if he did not enjoy part of what happened after he was taken by the rogue group when trying to get them to attack his old pack. Chris is really starting to get to the root of part of his ongoing issues; hope he has the courage to see it through to the end. Would be way to easy to get to a certain point and stop trying to get it all out. Great story...

Damn, are we about to find out a few family secrets??? Great chapter all around but the night between Daniel and Raymond was just so well written and paced...

Will Maegelin do what the King says or what needs to be done??? How many will die because of the madness of one? Well, two or three if you through in Samhein and Pyrius.

I loved everything about this chapter; but the whole time a little warning bell in the back of my head kept going off about Dimitri or his parents; not sure why...

Halloween seemed to be a blast; but that was followed by a body blow about the attack on his old pack. Finding out his parents were okay had to feel good but with all of his realization about how Aiden was truly the better man than Michael, finding out that he was taken and how Ethan is not coping well; you know that has to hurt his soul. Glad we got a little more backstory on Corey; it explained a few things. Chris is lucky to have Kyle and Corey in his corner; I think what they have told others and the fact that they seem to care about him has smoothed his acceptance into his new pack somewhat. Therapy is never a straight climb back up; it is a winding path with drops and peaks and twist and turns. You just have to keep moving forward and don't spend to much time looking back...

Unfortunately, I have two relatives much like Gabriel's brother James, one is even named James... And I can't agree more that leopards rarely change their spots; although it can happen, not that it did in my case; but I have seen it happen with others. Sometimes we have to make our own families and find that those that are related by blood are not who are good for us to be around or have in our lives. I am so glad that he is doing something for the Foroughi's enjoyment though...

Glad to see that Chris was able to let the wolf out to play; and hunt. I have to admit that I would think it would be really hard to transform but have to stay in a small place and not be able to run while in wolf form. Chris seemed to be more on an even keel this chapter... Hope he starts to have more good days as he comes to understand himself and his actions from the past...

Great chapter, the pacing was right on... Sometimes being the one in charge sucks...

Interesting start to this story; makes me want to know more about everyone involved...

Although in the end, no one but him can really be to blame for his own action; but his mother really seemed to push him into Michaels arms as a way of getting her son ahead of the rest. Maybe the horror he saw on her face was not for what he had done but for what she had done to her own son???

Road Trip...

Really disappointed that Anshar was not paying more attention; he needs to stop worrying about the past and fight here in the present.

Another exciting chapter; although I was hoping that we would get back to Anshar and Mithras...

So Evan was able to draw first blood; against a foe that was obviously stronger than he is, quite a feat. So Jensen is better with intricate spells; might mean they are better in the long run, maybe stronger over time than just a big blast to start with...

Anshar and Mithras are going to have a reckoning, and not sure that either of them will truly like the outcome. The three wizards are proving more interesting than I thought they would be to start with, may prove to be a challenge to the others after all.

Good pacing and really descriptive prose; truly did enjoy this chapter as well. Have to wonder why the three wizards parted company with their kind; there must be a good story there.

Very interesting start to this story; good pacing and writing... Can't wait to see where you take it all.

Just truly lovely, sometimes the best things in life really are the love of another person and friends. But anyone that says money doesn't matter, has never had to worry about how to pay the bills... Keep up the good work, can't wait for the windy city...

Well, you knew something was going to happen, everything had been just way to easy. Well written and provoked a lot of emotions, some good and some bad but they were both genuine. Keep up the good work.

It did not click with me that this was Sam from Special Forces; it should have, I really loved that story... I just keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, everything is going way to well.
