Saturday night dance
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Saturday night dance
What a fabulous night out with Matt's friends. So glad that Matt is starting to feel more comfortable dancing and having friends and being part of a group of them. Graham and Matt are just too cute together. I bet that Freddie would love to have a dance at the house, and with a place that big, would bound to have a place to have a real dance area and more. Invite friends, family, and others. Make it a huge do. I so want to see Vince and Peter do the tango... LOL -
Claire planned the celebration of life perfectly, and Marie and John did more than their part. Let's hope that Pat and James Hobart don't cause too many issues over how it was done. Although, I do think that Claire will be more than a match for either or both of them. Marie and John did well, and I am so impressed how well John held up until the band played the song he wrote for his father, they are their mother's children. Oh Lord, what the hell were Brad and JP thinking. I feel that Brad probably dragged JP into this one, although you know that JP truly does believe that education is very important to everyone. Plus, they should have made sure to corner Jeremy without Will or Darius around, especially Will. You know that Will is not going to let this go. I will bet money they did not talk to Stef before they pulled this at all. Stef however made the best argument than anyone could in this instance to get Jeremy to at least look at an undergraduate degree, and maybe more. By the time this story is taking place, education in the fashion world was becoming much more important. Jeremy could easily transition to Parsons, FIT, LIM, or Pratt in New York, or helicopter over to the Rhode Island School of Design, it is associated with Brown University. Plus, if Kris wanted to get some banking experience in Europe, London has several top fashion schools. LIM would be one for Jeremy to really look at as most of its degrees are geared toward the business side of fashion such as running a fashion magazine, merchandising, management, etc. rather than actual design. Brad and JP should have involved Stef from the get-go, of the so-called adults, he is the best one to deal with or get Jeremy to understand the situation, just as we observed. Master as always @Mark Arbour

Pumpkin and Tea - Tom & Kevin
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in Pumpkin and Tea - Tom & Kevin
OMG, this chapter cries out for a warm bath and a sharp razor blade. Kevin is just so sad. He feels useless, but needs to realize that we all have our gifts, the trick is finding yours and sharing it freely. Tom has had tragedy in his life but had those around him that helped lift him up and help him to overcome them; now he just wants to pass that along, if only more were like him. -
Socks and Coffee - Alex & Max
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in Socks and Coffee - Alex & Max
Alex and Max are intriguing already. Alex is sweet, but I can tell he will be hurt easily. Max has a story to tell, but will he share that with Alex? Can't wait to see what happens next. -
Well, glad that Russ got to talk to Brian and Gordon, with a little extra thrown in. Russ will do better with the kids then he thinks he will, Toby is older, but being around him has given him some pointers. Although, not sure how much I would have ever imagined Russ playing football, but we will see. Love Lisa already, but Con is starting to come across as a stick in the mud. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Well, a couple of these designations I truly question, but still some outstanding stories in these groups.

The Heart of the Storm

And love truly saved the world. But as always, there will still be plenty of hate and fear to cause problems, after all we are human and fear and hate is what we do best. -
Monday madness & Kjell is annoyed again
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Monday madness & Kjell is annoyed again
Lovely chapter, and so much going on. Graham really has expanded what he was willing to do with his work. Poetry, unless you are seriously major, is more about doing what you can to get your work out there. The radio work, even if it doesn't pay much might well give him a wider audience than he can imagine, and no telling who might be listening. And while Dawn might be right, if Vince could get a sponsorship out of the company, then tying it to the Reserve might make a lot of sense. Kjell needs to get over it. Arvid is getting to the age that he is going to start making his own decisions, and his parents are either going to have to start making some type of compromises, or they are going to lose him for good. Matt is so sweet to worry so about his mother, and Graham came through with some great suggestions. Graham and Matt are really jelling in more than one way. -
Featured Story: What Happened To The Baxter Boys by Mancunian
centexhairysub commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Lovely words for a warm hearted story. -
I actually feel sorry for Tom in regard to how they all lied about his mother; and having to deal with Blaise. Except for maybe Brittany, there is no one in this story universe that I trust less than Blaise.

Jake is a better person than most. Danny and Nate got a chance to connect and talk and just be. Hate that the end was sort of a blow up but do understand from both sides. Kara lost someone that meant a lot to her, and especially in Vietnam, it really was for no purpose. But Danny needs to think about that, even if he is a mechanic, he will have to learn to fight, he might never pull a trigger, but it is something he has to consider. Phoenix and Ethan are just too cute.

Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 5 - Oct. 11)
centexhairysub commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Hope you had a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving, and I hope the snow starts soon. Although, won't lie, would knock off a person or two to get a good down pour here in central Texas. As always, thanks for bringing this to our attention, and for making it fun and fabulous for us all. -
And this explained Sawyer a little bit more, and we got to see that ass that used him. Sawyer, in my opinion is crushing on Dante as much as he seems to think that Frank is. I think what Frank feels for Dante is more than a crush, but I could be wrong. I am starting to feel sorry for Tom, and I never thought that would happen. Henry for just a moment, was more of an adult than Dante was. LOL I can see issues coming to boil.

And The Band Played…
centexhairysub commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in And The Band Played…
I think Claire explained herself really well, and I totally understand where she was coming from, but Casey is right, Claire, Marie, and John will all need some counseling, and Jessica as well. I am glad that Ryan brought the band up, it will really help John and give him an outlet for some of his grief. Music can be an excellent way to deal with and release tension and anger both. And yes, Marie may well sleep with Ryan, as Travis said, it isn't going to hurt anyone and sex is a great tension reliever as well, maybe even better than music. LOL Jack's mother, Mrs. Patricia Hobart, may be a big deal, but I am going to bet that she has met her match in Claire. Claire is going to do what she thinks is going to honor Jack and help the kids get through this. It's times like these, that I really miss Tonto.- 18 comments

Bus journey – 21 December
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Bus journey – 21 December
Ah, so Mr. Russ, is off to holiday. Sounds like Conn and Russ have always competed with Conn coming in just a little less than Russ; and that can be damn annoying. Strange how one sibling can compete with another when the really has no idea that a competition is even really going on. The boys are a little older, and maybe a little better behaved, of course boys that age just have a need to move in any direction and at all times Like many, the lady in the seat with the son she is visiting has my senses tingling for so many reasons. Of course, Toby would be all over the nature reserve. -
This makes me think a little better of Matthew, but maybe it's because we always see a slightly different side of him in various ways, I never feel we ever truly see the real him. I think it was Blaise's fault, I think he lied about what happened, and Frank simply doesn't remember enough to know for sure, plus he was branded a child forever so nothing he says will ever really be taken seriously about the incident.

Pairing up and working together began to turn the tide; so the other side decides to go brute force, even if it destroys themselves. -
Moving Saturday & sexy knickers
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Moving Saturday & sexy knickers
What a lovely chapter, and I am certainly glad that Vince and Graham were able to find some photo albums and more. I do hope we find something in one of them that might explain what happened to Auntie.. I have been curious about that since she was mentioned. Don't most of us know someone like Hortensia that seems to manage most of those around her to some extent, but in the nicest possible way. So Maxi is joining the commune, another lovely addition, but glad that he and Jacob will have separate rooms, and the same goes for Peter, always need a space that you can retreat to and deal with things. Peter being there full time will be interesting, but I do think it will work out okay. -
Some truly outstanding stories on these list...

Wednesday, April 23, 2025 (III)
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in Wednesday, April 23, 2025 (III)
Well, dammit. Madeleine has been found, I knew that someone should have checked out the Monk's Tower, but of course, she might not have been there before tonight, but why out in the storm. If she could have rang the bell, why wait until it was too late? I guess we all knew not to trust Michael Bell, but the fact that he waited this long when he obviously thought his daughter had probably been kidnapped probably from the beginning, he is beyond horrible. Hate that Nico is going to have to go through that, but Dust is right, being young will help. Vi is not going to be happy, and she can blame Winter, and go what it until the cows come home. Where the hell is Kate? -

Rory & Slav’s end of term
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Rory & Slav’s end of term
Well, this is actually the perfect moment for a little break. You noticed that I did say little. LOL The concert was a success on several levels. Of course, people know that Rory was kicked out of his house, and I am sure that his parents are getting some much-deserved scorn by some, of course, there will be the rabid right-wing fanatics that will support the idiot parents, but still. I am so glad that Audra and Jock are being so supportive, not just of Rory, but Slav in Rory's life. While they are helping to support Rory and will help with his future schooling, not sure how much they should be helping find a new house, of course that is their choice. Matthew and Irma are proving to be far more adventuresome than I would have considered either of them to be. That is one thing about a male household, tend to be more open about letting things hang out so to speak. The gang is supportive of Rory, and I think that is wonderful. And Slav has become more open with his housemates and a mostly neutral to okay reaction, there is always that one... I for one, can't wait to see that happens next, but some time away might help you focus on what is coming next. -
Hatred can give a unity of purpose that is hard to overcome, that will be the key, finding what the fractured ones cannot deal with.

Weekly Wrap Up (Sept. 28 - Oct. 4)
centexhairysub commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I wish all of you that are having rain that don't want it, would send it here to Texas, drought conditions are rising rapidly in my area. Six of the seven words, but they were a little more difficult today. As always, thanks for the update. Hope you find something that you can enjoy to keep you moving. -
Let's hope they can regroup and trust fully in each other, if they can't then this is over now. Human greed and stupidity can make a hash of even the best of intentions.
