Chapter 21 Back to IU
Wednesday was a strange day. The Warner's were surprised to be called to the police station for another meeting in the afternoon and John of course accompanied them. Jack Turner was there as well the U.S. Marshal. Surprisingly Bruce Schuetz was there as well. Dean, John and Debbie were brought up to date about the events of at the club and then told that the two men brought in by the Trask's security team were in the custody
Your discussion about the difference between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' crossed the border into the 'have a lots' and makes some valid points. People who have never wanted for anything have a difficult time conceptualizing the difference between a need and a want.
Chapter 20 NEW YEARS EVE
Monday, December 31, 2007
They slept late. On purpose; because they knew they would be out late at the club. Dean woke up at half past ten and rushed to the toilet to drain all that beer. He did not have a headache, but was not as mentally sharp or focused as he usually was as a morning person. He put on a pair of sleep shorts and wandered over to the kitchen and found it stocked with fresh ground coffee, bagels, cream ch
Enjoy the beach and all the eye candy. Something about the ocean and the waves is always relaxing. So unwind. Recharge and enjoy a couple of Margarita's!
I think a rank amateur like Mary Ellen could seriously screw-up her evil mom's plans if she doesn't go along with her plans.
I also think that Wade will have more problems with mom and his sister and will deal with them ruthlessly. Riley and his mom are ripe targets as well.
The interesting thing about Elizabeth and her daughter is that for all their money, political savy, social position and power, they don't seem to have much happiness.
Wade's legal and investigational bills certainly seemed destined to go higher.
Somehow, I suspect there will be more political fireworks before the election occurs.
Thanks for the review and I do agree. I do have a definite tendency to be wordy and to overwhelm with details. I promise I will get better, but probably in my next story.
Chapter 19 The Holidays
Their holidays were different after that Saturday morning meeting. The detective's information had not been encouraging. Jack Turner had taken custody of the key ring with the large 'W' and returned the keys to John and left to turn it over to the Feds. Bruce had laid out detailed parameters of the security changes being implemented and how they would have to keep the agents informed, at least through text messages. Several add
Sitting down to watch home videos in your unremembered life sounds sounds like a prescription for jogging the memory! At least one can only hope.
Somehow, someway, Christian has to either remember or come to terms with the fact that memories don't limit how we live today and just move on with his life, family and marriage.
Still loving it!
Another great chapter. The description of the after-event jazz club was amazing as was their interaction just before the start of the set.
The best line of the chapter in my opinion was:
“I’ve been told the trick is not finding the perfect person you can live with, but finding that flawed person you can’t live without.”
Too bad that Christian couldn't just ask David if he could just hold him after telling him he wasn't ready for making love. But perhaps the next time....
Great chapter Kyle! The story lines are starting to really come together and the tapestry is indeed a grand epic.
While others have liked the way Kandric dealt with his grandfather, I fear the old fool will still make life difficult for Kandric. Especially as he is dealing with some dark forces at Rolling Dale.
Hopefully, you will have the next installment as my Christmas present! Please! Pretty please!
Why do blind dates always end up a disaster? Not only was Tim obnoxious, he was a snob besides.
An interesting chapter. Jenny's Michael however sure seems nice!
The latest chapter certainly holds your interest and the ending was splendidly portrayed. Poor Wade has a very demanding family dynamic to deal with and it certainly makes sense that he put the whole country between him and his family.
Having never been interviewed by a policeman, federal marshal or member of the FBI in a criminal invesigation, I am sure my rendition was purely fictional.
Interesting speculation about my poor but honest protagonist.
