    A brilliant chapter. Since we know from history that George's position is vindicated, he will come out alright and in fact signing a full crew complement is already the first benefit. His handling of his brother and Davina was also masterful and the only downside is that perhaps it places too much power in the hands of Caroline. His parents too seem a little less than thrilled as the torch is passed to the younger generation. However, I expect George's brother and his progeny will not be going to sea. Cavendish is foil, a delicious dessert and an enigma that will in fact not be going with George. Still not underway and so much has happened in the start of this grand Odyssey.

    Chapter 8 The Date Dean was content and satisfied with his life. His mood change was soon noted by his co-workers as well. He dressed better as he had begun to go shopping for clothes that he would need at school.     IMHO Wade is the super responsible type. So even if he didn't directly cause his sister to be beaten, he is definitely going to feel like he lit the fuse. That's why he was horrified. A rather specific reaction.

    Chapter 1 The Murder Next Door 4:57 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2007 BANG!...BANG! Plinkk..WHFFFT...BANG! Twenty year old Dean came awake with a start, reached blindly for his cell phone and dialed 911 which was answered immediately. "I live at 946 North Ash, my name is Dean Warner and I was just awakened by multiple gunshots from next door at 940 North Ash.     The article I saw said his doctors want him to undergo another procedure ASAP and that he might miss a couple of the Idol tour dates. With all that distraction, and the pressure from the IDOL people, the fact that he was able to stay true to his own self and not try to be someone else is impressive. I bought his album on iTunes and listening to them through some decent speakers instead of my crappy TV speakers made a difference.

    I think you have raised an interesting point which could turn out to be validated. Being a player because you have to do it to survive is much different than being a player because you are basically a slut or going through a slutty phase...called adolescence.
