  1. Thank you. You may find it hard to believe but I have lived a fairly sheltered life and have never done drugs apart from the occasional alcohol binge and a few joints here and there. Oh and the cigarettes of course *blushes*. However, I have seen what drugs can do...to friends, clients and even family. Being a mother, I have found it terrifying to watch my daughter grow up and to worry that she would get caught in the same trap. Fortunately she went the other way and is incredibly straight (other than the fact that she's gay ) and is a moral crusader (by that I don't mean she comes down on people who slip... I mean generally) I am incredibly fortunate. Now I have a son and I worry about him. It's so easy to get into and so hard to get out of. I would support my children no matter what they do but I have seen the way drugs tear apart a family... how people change, become isolated or intensely attracted to the wrong kind of people and turn away from, or even on, their families. It is brave of you to talk about your past Tiger and I wish you a glorious future, starting with wholeheartedly supporting your message. Blessings.

  4. That was hilarious. I have a question thought... It may well be very stupid or answered fully somewhere else but... where did all this goat thing come from?

    Long time...

That's awesome. I NEVER pass a homeless person without giving them something. There was one kid once I would pass regularly in the subway. One day I didnt have any money so I have him the only thing I did have... a snikcers bar. He was delighted as he hadn't had chocolate in ages and we got to talking. I brought him some old sleeping mats and a sleeping bag and whenever I walked through the subway we talked. In the end he got a job and a flat and he was so excited. I never saw him again but he touched me and it made me feel good that perhaps in some small way I had helped him along the road to a new life. It takes so little to reach out to people and maybe even to change their world. Blessings to you and I hope that your new resolve brings you joy

  15. Haven't seen many movies this year and most of the ones I have seen have been with my son. The DVD I watched that really spoke to me and really affected me was Dead Man with Jonny Depp. I don't know if it counts as a movie but it is the best film I have seen for a very long time and I can heartily recomment it to anyone. Don't watch it if you are feeling depressed though.
  16. That's a fabulous tree I would love to show you mine and if I ever work out how to get phtos off my phone and into my computer I will show you

  18. You're welcome to come stay with me any time hun... that goes for any of my friends here. I am used to having 'open house' to strangers and have never had cause to regret it. I ran a druid grove for 15 years and often had people come to a meeting/festival and stay over. I am a gregarious person and like company and I am a Welsh girl through and through which means that hospitality ranks just behind honour in my make up. You will be well fed and fussed but you may have to sleep on the sofa. You will be forced to watch cartoons and will probably have to play computer games or crawl around on the floor pretending to be a soldier, elf or some kind of animal (although this danger will probably decrease over the next 10 years when it will be replaced by 'listen to bad music and cope with a sulky teenager who will hate you on principle ) I'll join that class Sam I send you the wish that none of your dreams come true but that they are replaced by far more positive ones all of which come true Let's modify that to.... Having a Christmas part to celebrate the fact that I am very much alive... shall we As for me... 10 years (55) Coping with a moody teenager, having a great life with someone who loves me and working in a 'alternative therapy' shop using my herbal skills to help people. Still feeling like I am 18 and dressing to shock. 15 years (60) Retired in my cottage by the river. Growing herbs in my garden to keep myself and my family healthy. Growing into the crone gracefully and occupying the space of 'wise woman' in the community where I live. Becoming more spiritual and self sufficient and pracicing magic more frequently and holistically 20 years (65) extending the above while still feeling 18 and more in love than ever with my parnter who will sit with me in front of the open fire of an evening and reminisce about all the things we have accomplished over the last 20 years. Looking forward to the frequent visits of all our frinends and still writing for GA
  19. Well... that was an awesome chapter. There was drama and pain but also lightness. I have read elsewhere today about intensity and suffering being part of life but not a part that can be comfortably read about in large doses without some relief. I think you have the balance right in this chapter. There was pain and suffering but also lightness and even laughter. Given how heavy the chapter was it couldn't have ended better. I think this chapter is a clear illustration of why you are so popular and your stories are so well received and discussed. It was written by a master and has not only given me a great read and emotion to carry with me throught the day along with plenty to think about but it has also taught me something about writing and what makes a good story a great story. Thank you
  20. Hehe... that's as good a reason as any. I one used a font because I came across it while I was writing a story and coincidentally it had the same name as the surname of my main characters It's a crazy world Oh and BTW.... is's Tuesday
  21. There was no one there who made my pulses race. Although I did find the narrator's voice quite sexy.
