This is the third and final part of the Confounded Trilogy, portraying a May - December story with familiar characters.

You would be wise to (re)read the previous parts of this trilogy, to get reacquainted with the characters; some you will know, some are new. Some references will hark back to previous writings, and will make more sense. This story is told from perspectives, so called Points of View (POV).

Shipped off to a fancy estate on the pretense of an apprenticeship, he ends up juggling his own doubts, tricky friendships, and all sorts of expectations. Patrick is a writer for a food magazine. Although Christmas is over it doesn't mean the work is. Cancelling out on his sister's dinner he asks for a raincheck. He gets it only to have it called in for that weekend. His niece has just graduated college. Now he will need to deal with snow storms, delayed flights, young adults, a crush, and a fall. Pat will have to deal it all, just maybe later.

My King! There are others... they are near you... don't trust... Keith's warning echos in Diarmad's mind all the time but the Seraei are patient predators. He can wait.
