Denial is a lonely path. Lack of honesty is divisive. And self-loathing is a destructive force that's difficult to overcome. 'Dissonance' is a tale that centers around Ben Mansfield and Travis Cooper: two characters from very different backgrounds who, after a chance meeting one night, must learn to face the discordant elements that have fractured their lives and prevented them from finding love and acceptance - especially within themselves.

This is a prompt story dedicated to Valkyrie and Parker Owens for their help with So Weeps the Willow. It should be fun!

A glimpse into my mind in verse.

Jake is having a rough time. His career's at a dead end. His love life is a disaster. His mother is a mess. Finally, he decides to turn things around.

This is his story.

After all the things happened, it's time for Noël and Diarmad to get to know each other. Right?

Jonas Marks has just graduated high school when he tells his father he is gay. The end result is that Jonas is tossed out of his home. With no money, no job, and no place to call home he ends up on his friend Jenny's couch till he starts working at Kroger's. Then his life just gets strange.

Gunni is a 16 year-old violinist who has just been hired as the leader of the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra. Siggi is the 19 year-old Principal Cello who is not at all happy with this new development. This kind of plot obviously demands that Gunni develops a crush for Siggi, but that's just the beginning. The story is told by Gunni and Siggi in their own distinctive way. Expect everything from humour to drama, and of course music (and plenty of fun in bed!).

Just some of my thoughts in poetic form.

Ehren's act of kindness pays off when he's most desperate for a place to hide. Tris, though, is more than he ever hoped for. His old life, before hitting the streets, is revealed and the glimmer of a future unfolds.

Celebrating the 4th of July, I have posted the first of a four story set featuring Asher Romanski from the series Sanitaria Springs. Asher is a poor kid who has resigned himself to taking his lumps and keeping out of harm's way. But then an event makes him dare to dream.
