When Sojourner decides to take a long break from his work, his parents, and his mundane life in general, he intends to combat the demon from his past. He travels alone to San Francisco, but plans to make an experiment. He writes a series of letters to a "Perfect Stranger" as he explores the City, and his inner self. Will this be the best year of his life..., or his last?

N'than is the last of his kind. He's lived for others, now the wants to find out who he is. Who can he trust?

Grant is a man new to his work and to the East Coast of the United States. He has been given every opportunity and chance, and has capitalized on that as he starts his new life. Troy has lost almost everything, and his life over the last sixteen months has been nothing but a struggle.

A burned journal sends them on a collision course.
