Being the oldest and growing up in a large family can be hard, especially when you are gay and the family is extremely homophobic. You are constantly being compared to your deceased father. A man whose stature and deeds are always increasing, as time goes by, and are held up as your goals. Anytime you reach those goals, your mother moves the goalpost further away.

You never seem to measure up. You are always being told that you are worthless and will never amount to anything since you cannot measure up to your father. It never mattered that you were a straight "A" student and that you were an athlete.

‘They say that sometimes you’ve just gotta take a chance or two, don’t ya know?’

And that applies to life and to love, as thirteen year old friends, Christian Miller and Jeremy Hutton are about to discover.

When two astronauts (a male and a female) crash land on a distant planet they are dismayed to find that it is an all male planet. The men of Collosia have learned to clone themselves. Sex is free and easy. Trade is strictly on a barter system. In short, everything is peaceful and serene. There is no escape, and the astronauts must learn to adapt.

Jamie Grimmstone is a young apprentice mage in the shop of the Master Thorvil, and longs to be a master himself. Together with his best friend (and boyfriend) Garvin Kinsmith, they keep the Master’s shop in order, assist the Master on his many missions, and study to one day become more than they are.

Life seems orderly, if slow, and Jamie has resigned himself to years of study before he can be a true mage himself…until one day, quite unexpectedly, an opportunity arises that the boys can hardly pass up, and they are off on a task that quickly turns into an adventure...
