Souris (soo-wree) was a happy child in a loving home with perfect parents until everything went horribly wrong. A coming of age tale told over eleven transformative birthdays in which Souris must navigate love, loneliness, and loss to find himself.

Isolated “for his own good”, Judah is given no choice but to show up to the witch-be-damned ceremony on his fiftieth rebirthday. It wasn’t like he could run away. He’d daydreamed about showing up with messy punk rock hair in his torn jeans and a Def Leopard T-shirt, but that would probably just result in him being stripped naked. Not a look he wanted to sport for the awakening or what he feared came after. He'd heard them, wondering how they’d benefit from the miracle he was supposed to spread through the families. Would they be gifted his magic, his blood, or something even more sinister? And would Judah survive this supposed honor at all?

An open letter to my friend Comicality. May he rest in peace.

Cooper Harmon is getting ready to start his freshman (1st) year of high school when his father notifies the family that he’s taking a new job and they’ll be moving. Cooper is not happy about leaving all his friends in Montclair, New Jersey and moving to Decatur, GA (a suburb of Atlanta) where he doesn’t know anyone. How is this going to work out?

When rumors and sightings of the fabled 'vampire mimic' become a reality for all who dwell in darkness...the entire city is turning itself inside out and upside down preparing for battle...and an arms dealer by the name of 'Rizzy' is set to make a fortune off of it. But he's also in line to make enemies along the way! Is the mimic real? And if so...what then?

This was written as an entry in the 2025 Writing Event - Comicality Tribute - Coming of Age.

I hope it is well-received. I've read this partial story a few times now and have frequently lamented the loss of Comsie and all the unfinished stories that will never be complete. I obviously have no idea where Comsie planned on taking this story next, but I'd like to offer my suggestion. Comsie, wherever you are, I never really knew you, traded a couple comments, but I hope you're happy and you don't curse me for this.

In tribute to Comicality, this is a coming of age story involving a young Brian Chesney and his developing relationship with his dream boy, Michael Carmichael.

You run into school knowing you are late, again. You quickly stop at your locker and ditch your jacket and grab some books. As usual the halls are quiet during classes. You dash to your classroom, open the door and start on your explanation and stop. No one is there. No teacher, no other students. You leave and look at other classrooms, all empty. You check your phone and it is actually a school day and not a holiday or anything else. What's happening?
