For the vast majority of my life I’ve lived in London, England, and worked in healthcare. Both have given me the chance to meet many different people in many different situations, which have all coloured my writing.

I am fascinated by how we live our lives, and as gay men how we find places for ourselves in today’s world, and how we lived in the past. So much of my writing tries to explore this, but it also explores issues and subjects that interest me or make me angry. Behind every headline is a story too.

I want to find the people in the situations and stories I write about.

As any writer, I value feedback to help improve my writing, so please leave a comment on the stories you read here.

    Happy reading.

Hamen Cheese writes with two goals in mind: to entertain and to surprise. Every story is written to give you something new in a world real or magical (and sometimes both). He takes the expected and throws it out the window. Come and see the unseen head-on through the eyes of his heroes.

    You won't be disappointed.

James Matthews is a British amateur writer specialising in Romance and Drama. James writes gritty, mature novels with a Technicolor view of working-class to middle-class world-building. Although written in modern times, most of James' work features coming of age themes or young adults, taken from his experiences as a young lad growing up in the late 90s. His stories are praised for reflecting real-life scenarios of good and bad times, and he never flinches from dealing with tough topics that occur in everyday life. James' writing is fast-paced, true to life and above all, very British! - Mark Baker
