James Matthews is a British amateur writer specialising in Romance and Drama. James writes gritty, mature novels with a Technicolor view of working-class to middle-class world-building. Although written in modern times, most of James' work features coming of age themes or young adults, taken from his experiences as a young lad growing up in the late 90s. His stories are praised for reflecting real-life scenarios of good and bad times, and he never flinches from dealing with tough topics that occur in everyday life. Jon is a single blue-collar worker who enjoys watching Marvel movies, reading non-fiction history books as well as his many DragonLance and Dragon Riders of Pern books. He's typically sitting comfortably on his sofa with one or two of his black cats hanging around nearby.

Sometimes the hardest thing, some of us can do is to express ourselves using words. Where do you start? Where do you end? And why does it even matter? It matters. My work is strung together from past experiences, mixed with a little fiction, and a lot of emotion. It is my way of over coming a life long inability to express myself with words, to finally be able to answer the question of "Hey what's wrong?" with something other than "nothing."
