Trick Me Once - 13. Confidence

Don't be intimidated!

The past few days have been a dream come true for Cody. Ever since Trick and he officially became a couple, life just seemed so much better. He had the will and strength to do anything, it was like nothing could bring him down. Even though Trick was still back home for the holidays, they managed to see each other almost every day, either going out or staying at one of their homes, just hanging out and kissing… a lot!

The meeting with Cody’s family went great, just like he expected it to. Cody’s parents loved Trick, they couldn’t get over how cute and polite he is. They were thrilled that their son finally has a boyfriend and that he liked him so much to bring him home to meet his parents.

Even Angela approved. After hearing so much about Trick, she was super curious to finally meet him and see what all the fuss is about, and she wasn’t disappointed. Especially after he told her that he was making a dating app and that it was nearly complete. She couldn’t wait to try it out with her friends and see if they’d be able to find some cute guys beyond those from their school.

After the holidays were over, Trick, Brad and Zoe all came back to the dorms to start the next semester. Needless to say, none of them were too excited about it. Although, Trick was thrilled that he’d be closer to Cody again and that they’d probably be able to see each other every day now.

Another thing that also worked in their favor was that it was winter, so there wasn’t as much work to do in the park as during other seasons. That meant that Cody had more free time and he was more than happy to spend it with Trick – both in the bedroom and otherwise.

So far, they only dared to do oral, as there was always a possibility of a family member knocking on the door and interrupting them. Although the danger of getting caught was arousing, neither of them wanted to push their luck too far. Needless to say, now that they didn’t have to see each other at their family homes anymore, they intended to fully use that freedom to their advantage.

It wasn’t long before they were in Trick’s dorm room, lying in bed, kissing and running their hands all over each other. Even though neither of them were virgins, this would be their first time together, so the anticipation and excitement levels were off the charts.

“How much time do we have before Brad returns?” Cody managed to ask in between kisses he was covering Trick with.

“No clue, he’s with Cathy,” Trick said breathlessly. “But who cares. Even if he comes, he won’t enter my bedroom. I told him we’d be here,” he quickly added before placing his lips on Cody’s again. Their taste was just addicting and he didn’t want to stop.

The louder their moans became, the hornier they got. Their clothes were off in record time, leaving them naked on the bed, Cody laying on top of Trick. There wasn’t a part of Trick’s body Cody didn’t explore with his fingers; he needed to feel all of him. He obviously did an amazing job, as it wasn’t long before Trick was begging for him to fuck him. Of course, Cody was more than willing to oblige.

“Oh fuck yeah! Fuck me!!”

Luckily, Brad wasn’t there yet, so there was no one to hear Trick’s moans and screams as he was riding on top of Cody, running his hands over his boyfriend’s sweaty chest. He never imagined he could let go like that, but feeling Cody’s hard cock deep inside him seemed to have brought out his wild side. He couldn’t help but impale himself on it, begging Cody to fuck him harder. Completely surprised and turned on with this side of Trick that he hadn’t seen before, Cody thrust hard with his hips, shoving his cock as deep as he could, all the while moaning and encouraging Trick to show him how much he enjoyed it.

As they looked into each other’s eyes, they saw love, lust and incredible mutual attraction. It was like they could read each other’s minds - they felt they needed to be even closer, so Cody got up and put his arms around Trick, pulling him close. With their sweaty bodies glued together, the guys smacked their lips together. As their tongues swirled around each other, Cody’s thrusts became harder, he was getting close. Trick tightened his grip around Cody’s body, ready for the load.

“I’m gonna fucking cum!” Cody yelled, shooting inside the condom deep in Trick’s guts. He grabbed Trick’s hard cock and started frantically stroking it. Just mere seconds later, Trick shot what felt like his biggest load ever all over their bodies.

As they lay exhausted on the bed, drenched in sweat and panting hard, they started laughing, surprised and thrilled at what just happened.

“Wow, you were amazing!” Cody said, breathing heavily and looking at his boyfriend.

“Only because of you!” Trick couldn’t help but laugh, feeling completely exhilarated. “What you did… felt incredible! Sorry if I was a little loud.”

“Don’t be sorry, that was such a turn-on!” Cody laughed. Wow, he was discovering more about Trick every day.

After they showered and got dressed, they realized they were starving – and how could they not be with all the strenuous physical activity they just had. To Cody’s delight, Trick prepared his favorite spaghetti. As they sat at the kitchen table and enjoyed Trick’s culinary skills, they started making plans for their next date.

“Whatever you want,” Trick said, letting Cody decide. He felt so relaxed with Cody and wanted him to feel free to choose whatever he wanted without worrying if Trick would be comfortable enough for it.

“Well… how about we go ice skating? There’s that big indoor ice skating rink downtown?” Cody suggested.

“Uh, sure, why not?” Trick replied hesitantly. He’d never been ice skating before, plus there was bound to be like a million people there. In his mind, it was a recipe for embarrassment. Still, he wanted to try and get out of his comfort zone. Not just for Cody, but for himself.

“Are you sure? Have you ever ice skated before?”

“Not really. Is it difficult?”

“No, it’s a lot of fun. Don’t worry, I’ll teach you!” Cody smiled and took Trick by the hand. “Even if you slip, you’ll fall into my arms!”

“I like the sound of that!” Trick winked at him.

Although he knew there wasn’t much work to be done on that day, Cody still decided to go to the park for a bit as he was supposed to meet Theo. The two of them sort of became friends, although that might be pushing it. Maybe ‘friendly coworkers’ would be a better term – they would always chat when they met at the park and they enjoyed working together.

Anyways, Theo texted Cody to tell him he’d take his little brother Tim for a walk around the park and asked if he’d like to join them. Tim was curious about meeting him, and Cody of course said yes. By the time he arrived, the two of them were already there. He immediately spotted his tall and lanky coworker in his baggy pants and long coat. His long black hair was almost down to his shoulders. Next to him was a cute little guy in a jacket that looked two sizes too big on him and only made him look even cuter. He had messy black hair with bangs that almost covered his eyes. He was crouched down, picking at rocks on the ground. As he picked a white rock and cleaned it a bit with his fingers, he got up and showed it to Theo.

“What do you think this is?” Tim asked curiously. He loved collecting unusual rocks, minerals and crystals. Several shelves on the walls of his room were full of various specimen that he collected or that Theo brought him.

“I dunno, man, could be quartz or gypsum? We’ll have to check it out when we get home!”

“Cool!” Tim looked at the treasure in his hand again, as Cody waved from the distance and approached them.

“Hey man, what’s up? Happy New Year!” Theo greeted him, shaking his hand. Cody thought about giving him a bro hug, but thought better of it.

“Hey guys, Happy New Year to you too! How are you?”

“We’re doin’ good, just walkin’ about. This is my baby bro, Tim,” Theo said, smiling and pointing at his thirteen-year-old brother.

“And this is my bud Cody.”

“Nice to meet you!” Tim said politely and extended his hand for a handshake, but not before shooting Theo a look for calling him his ‘baby bro’.

“You too, bud! How’s it going? Enjoying your winter break?” Cody asked.

“Yeah, I get to play a lot and spend time with Theo!”

“That’s nice! You have a cool big brother, huh?”

“Yeah, he’s alright,” Tim said, to which Theo and Cody laughed.

Cody had no problem realizing why Theo loved his little brother so much – he was a polite, well raised kid, but also honest and shy. All of these qualities made him very endearing. He didn’t wait a single second more to brag about his latest discovery, showing Cody what he just found in the park. Cody promised to take him to the museum of natural sciences to look at the collection of minerals and crystals displayed there, which was met with genuine excitement from Tim. After a while, the young boy finally got the courage to ask the question that was on his mind.

“So, are you… like me?” he asked shyly, quickly looking at Cody before looking down at his feet.

“You mean do I like boys?”

Tim nodded.

“Yes I do, especially one particular boy!” Cody replied, smiling.

“Who is he, your boyfriend?”

“Yes. Maybe you can meet him one day. He’s very nice, I’m sure you’d like him.”

“I also want to have a boyfriend.”

“And you should! Is there a guy you like?”

“Yeah, my friend Ronan. We have classes together.”

“Does Ronan also like boys?”

“I don’t know. I’m afraid to tell him I like him.”

“I know, it can be very scary,” Cody nodded.

“How did you tell your boyfriend?”

“Oh, you don’t wanna follow my example,” Cody chuckled. “I was also afraid, so I waited for four years to tell him.”

“Well, I don’t wanna wait that long!” Tim said, making Cody and Theo chuckle at his honesty.

“And you shouldn’t.”

“But what if he doesn’t like me back?”

“Well, that’s always possible… Would you still be his friend even if he doesn’t like you back?”

“Of course,” Tim immediately replied. Why wouldn’t they remain friends?

“Then you should tell him that.”

By the time they turned to head back home, Tim was encouraged and happy that he has a new friend. Besides Theo, Cody was the first person he talked to about being gay and having a crush on a friend. It felt good to talk to someone about it, not scary like he first thought it would be. As Cody promised to take him to the museum, in return he promised Cody not to be afraid to ask for his advice whenever he needed it.

--

Sitting on a bench out on the street, Trick observed the people around him and thought about the time when he was supposed to start going to the new school. He was afraid because he didn’t know anyone, so his mom took him there and just sat with him on a bench across the street from the school.

“I know you’re nervous, but please, do something for me. Look around, look at all the people and children going about. See how many of them are walking alone? And they’re just fine, they don’t care that they’re alone. No one is watching them, waiting for them to slip up and make fun of them. That’s exactly what you’re gonna do on Monday. You’re going to go there, attend classes, talk to some teachers, get to know other kids, they will get to know you, and before you know it, you’ll have new friends. Trust me.”

Those words encouraged him back then, and guess what – it turned out his mom was right. He did make new friends and had a good time in his new school.

While he’s come a long way since then, he still felt self-conscious when he had to go to some unknown place by himself. However, his college experience was great so far and he felt more relaxed than ever.

“Ok, I can do it. I’m gonna go there, see what it’s like and try to learn some ice skating so I don’t embarrass myself in front of Cody this weekend.”

That was the plan. He’ll go in, watch what other people are doing, put on some ice skates and try not to break his limbs. He doesn’t really want to be a complete beginner when he goes there with Cody in a few days. As he entered the building, he saw that the skating rink was much bigger than he thought. Also, there wasn’t as many people as he imagined. That was good.

“Ok, what’s the worst that could happen?”

I mean really, what could happen? :P We'll find out in the next chapter.
Until then, thank you everyone for reading, sharing your opinions, and thanks to @glennish for all the advice!

Not all of us get the chance to be a mentor to a young LGBTQ person. Many things conspire to keep older LGBTQs away from younger ones. But when I would have benefited the most, I would have been too terrified to initiate any sort of contact. I met a Gay couple (the brother of a coworker) in my early stages of Coming Out, but it was a one-time thing. I was also introduced to a group of Gay friends at a wedding, but that also was a one-off. I needed a more continuous connection that wouldn’t happen for years. LGBTQ community centers are the best venue for that!  ;-)

I couldn't agree more. I know I wish I had a mentor of sorts or a youth center where I could've gone when I was younger. Alas, living in a homophobic country, such things are still not a reality here.

I am glad the boys had a great holiday.  Also glad the relationship has moved to the next level.  Cody’s family loved Trick as we knew they would.  Glad that Trick is overcoming some of his own past demons and willing to try new things. What could go wrong indeed. Maybe he will walk by two gentlemen and a lady drinking tea eating cookies and reading the paper. Who knows.

Of course I'm stalking them, and not alone. I have a few friends with me too, I'm not alone in this. Please keep writing more I always look forward to your reading your stories. Thanks for writing.

I wouldn’t call it stalking. I think we all just travel in the same circles.  I mean I was just shocked a month or two ago when I was in line behind Cody at the park buying popcorn. 🍿

OH MY LORD I was blushing and read with one eye closed in that beginning! It's always the shy ones, hey Trick? ;) Reow. Don't worry about Brad walking in, he probably heard everything wherever he was with Cathy!

Cody's doing so much to undo the wrongs of his past, and that includes making the journey to gay-dom easier for young Tim. So cute. ❤️ I'm so proud of Formerly Douchebag Cody. Absolutely well done on developing him! It's been an amazing ride (amirite Trick) and I can't wait to see where else it goes ^_^

Trick, on the other hand, is getting so brave! Brave enough to tempt fate, it would seem. 😮
