Wayne's Poems - 26. Wrapped in Armor
Hide in mind,
Theater calm,
Brace for war,
There is no balm.
Winds they blow,
The trees they bow,
"But I wont,"
My foolish vow.
And I go,
Wrapped in armor,
All I want,
The calm harbor.
But I go.
Wrapped in armor.
I wrote this a long time back, and it seems pertinent again. Just dealing with the world lately can make us want to suit up, behind steel and leather ... Wrapped in Armor.
