I believe that's what a true leader should always do. Unlike certain politicians and rulers who only care about themselves.

This is meant to be the first installment in a trilogy chronicling how the dolphins left Atlantis and eventually settled in Canada. Part 2 will be released with the fall anthology.

I really enjoyed this when you asked me to beta read it. Relaxing and reading it again today was just as much fun. Like all the stories of yours I've read, this one is wonderful. The fact it's a shifter story make it all the more fun for me.  

I've been waiting five years for you to write more stories in the Atlantis Shift universe. The wait was well worth it. Your development as a writer from when you wrote the first two stories is impressive.

The style of writing needed for this broad-brush telling of a myth is very different from the detail-focused style, with fully-developed characters, that you perfected for the CJ universe. Bravo! I look forward for the final two installments of Leaving Atlantis.

So from your comments this is the beginning of the dolphins' tale. However, I'm curious as to what becomes of Tejan and his people. Do they eschew human form to become cetacean permanently or do they become the once fabled mermen of lost Atlantis?

I too enjoyed this story.  At first I didn't know what to make of it.  Where was CJ?  Of course this had nothing to do with him.  A very interesting telling of the Lost Atlantis Story.  As usual your excellent story telling made this all the more enjoyable.  Thanks Carlos.

Thanks for the help, Wolf. Reading your work inspired me to take another crack at the premise. It was fun revisiting after such a long time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. So darn good to hear my writing has grown. And yes, it was different to write without worrying to much about small details or strict times. I plan to cover seceral thousand years in the next short story so the brush may be even wider at times.

Autumn is so far away.

I allowed Tejan to live and kept his future fuzzy in case I want to revisit his clan. In the back of my mind those tales would be Aquaman fan fiction.

Thanks! I prefer the reality base tales but now and then it's fun the step outside the comfort zone.
