p style="text-align:center;">Y’all didn’t really think I’d leave you stranded with a bunch of open plot lines, did you? I’m happy to tell you negotiations with my editor have been successful, and we’ve begun working on part two of CJ’s story.

We’re both busy with other work, so it’ll take a little bit of time before we’re ready to share. So look for Autumn to follow the continuing adventures of CJ and his dads. I’m off to Washington to do a bit of research.

I'm glad you gave in under threats and pressure ahem oops I mean I'm glad that you decided to continue CJ's and the gang's story after the summer :gikkle:

It was nice to share/make a recap of all the characters details.

I hope you'll have a great time in Washington and that you'll find what you're looking for. :read:

Marine

Thanks M!

I've already started work on Autumn, CJ and his dads will be back soon. I think the little break will be good for the author and the readers alike. I like to have an inventory of chapters when I start posting so I can keep to a regular schedule. If for some reason I'm slowed down, or my editor gets too busy, it won't slow down the regular posts. I dislike not knowing when a new chapter's going to appear when I read stories.

Looking forward to more. Friday's have been a highlight with a new chapter. Going yo be a long two months of waiting. Brad
Morning Brad!

I want to thank you for reading and for taking the time to leave a comment. Means a heck of a lot more than you could imagine. A short break is nice, at least you know the story will pick up again, and when.

And it's only six weeks, Mister! It's not two months. :D

I look forward to hearing what you think of the next 'season' of CJ & His Dads!

I was fairly sure you wouldn't end the story so dramatically but it's nice to be certain. Summer has been a much anticipated part of my Friday. Looking forward to Autumn. Enjoy DC.
Hey D-

I admit to having some fun when I posted all those open ended plot lines without announcing there would be a Part II to the story of CJ and his dads. I couldn't leave the characters hanging like that, i had to write what happened next for myself anyway, so sharing it with the readers was a given.

I have absolutely enjoyed this story, and am excited it will be continuing!! Glad you did a cast of characters as I had thought about that too! With so many people in the story, I will admit I got a little confused trying to keep everyone straight (lol).

I look forward to the upcoming installment! Now I'm going to go and re-read this again :)

It's so damn good to hear I've been able to entertain people, thank you!

One of the reasons for posting the cast of characters was to give readers an opportunity to read the story a second hand with the list in front of them as a reference tool. I didn't want to print it earlier to avoid spoilers. I'm thinking I'll do it differently in Autum, I'll make the prologue the cast listing and update it every time new characters appear.

While you read it a second time, feel free to leave comments if anything strikes your fancy. I will continue to respond to all reviews.

A couple of the early chapters have been quietly edited to correct minor errors. None of the corrections affected the plot.

I'm reading the story from the beginning again. One, because the story is a very enjoyable read and two, beacause I was forgetting some of the details of the uncles et al. Your adding a "Cast of Characters" is a handy reference guide.

I'm kind of sad that your new story won't be out until July 1 (it seems so far away) but like the old saying goes - good things come to those who wait.

Have a great vacation.

Carlos,

The list of characters is quite useful. It's easy to overlook how many people were weaved into the story over twenty plus chapters. I am truly happy that we will see more of CJ and July isn't that far away. This is a story that I always looked forward to reading each and every chapter..

Thanks Doc...

I sometimes drove my editor crazy with the number of characters, but most were essential to telling the story. with CJ, his dads and his uncles at the center, they number of people they interact with is definitely much larger than if I just had two main characters. I also felt the story being set in DC required a large cast to give it as much realism as possible.

There are some stories on GA I've read multiple times, and some I'll read again, when the author announces a sequel. Publishing a novel as a serial has it benefits, but being able to read as much, or as little as one wants each day is great. At over 80k words, Summer is significantly larger than I initially foresaw. I frequently editied sections out so as not to drag out scenes but still got away from me :P

Think of it in number of days, just 47, that will quickly disappear. :)

CJ is younger than a lot of my grandkids! Lol. And his dad's are much younger than my own kids.

Did you see my comment about Cesar being born after I graduated high school? LOL, I'm not big on writing teen stories, but since this is a coming of age tale, I thought it was important I start at a point where CJ's personality was being molded.

He's not the only one. I've been blessed with multiple readers sticking with me and CJ for years. If you take a look at the chapter reactions, you can tell by the dates who followed the story from the beginning and who came along after. I love tracking binge readers' progress by the likes and comments. :)

Here from the start but I'm not the only one. I've enjoyed the journey and am glad you've joined us. As you're learning he writes a good story. One that improves as both his writing and CJ mature and develope.
