When you face death do you really see the light?  What happens if you flee the light and race to the darkness?  How strong is the power of love at this time?  The Light is an intriguing short tale that explores these questions.  It only takes a few minutes of time to find the answers in the wonderful bit of reading.  They will be minutes well spent!

Response from the author:

I don't know where this story came from. I set out to write a poem, and this just happened. To this day, I think it is/was integral to who I am as a writer today. I have learned to trust my instincts, and have never looked for a beta reader because I'm not sure that would work for me. We authors are all different in how we approach our craft. Of course, I relied on my editor, @Timothy M. for his occasional input and suggestions, and as a team we worked really well together, and in part I think it was because he doesn't like to beta read. I'm getting sidetracked, but I just want to say thank you for bringing 'light' to this older story. Much appreciated. G

The Light is an especially powerful story for those of us lucky enough to have experienced such love. This one certainly has earned a tissue warning.

Response from the author:

Thank you, V. All these years later, I am proud this little anthology story, my first, holds up. It touches me still, and I am thankful you shared some of your story with me.
