I was so sad when I heard about Wayne. I didn’t know him well, but I did get the opportunity to meet him a few years ago. He was sweet and kind and had us all laughing with his humor. He was way too young to have left us. 

Rest in peace, Wayne. May your memory be a blessing. ❤️

Unfortunately, I'm a little late hearing about this...but it saddens me just the same.

You know...there are people in the world who can be charismatic, kind, helpful, etc. Many people, in fact. But the true beauty of a person just radiates from within. You can't hide it. And why would you want to? Comicfan has always been a good guy. I've never heard a bad word about him. Doubt that I would have let it stand if I had. It hurts to think that he left us so soon.

But, what I can appreciate is the fact that his writing is still here with us. And his true spirit is woven into every word. Thank you for the time you allowed us to share a piece of your heart with you, dude. You will be greatly missed. But your light will stay with us. Always.

From one colleague to another...one last 'clink'. Shall we?

Wayne, I will miss you greatly and you will be forever in my heart.  Rest in peace, my friend.  

So sad to hear the news about Wayne's sudden death. I can only add to the chorus here about how kind and thoughtful he always was.
He collected postcards so JianSierra and I used to send him a postcard from our vacations every year...
He will be missed by many.

I read this blog earlier but couldn’t react then. I was in a bad shape because other bad news in theNetherlands. Our most popular - honest - tenacious crime reporter , Peter R. De Vries, died 10 days after he was shot.  Also there were  many flooding in our southernmost province.

But I still want give my condolences to Wayne. My first story I read on this site was ‘Accidents happen’ and I was hooked. He was a good man that take care for his parents and had it difficult when he was left alone in Corona time.

Oh gosh, this is belated, but condolences. Comic Fan has been a pillar. He will truly be missed. Rest in peace.

Thank you Renee for this wonderful post. I still can't believe he's gone. He was such a big part of my online life since he joined the GA. @comicfan loved to take care of everyone and made sure to stay in touch with us in whatever medium he could. 

Losing him is a big blow to me, and I'm sure I'm not alone when i say we'll hardly be the same without him.
