:(

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

Penalized? How? I've disagreed with him..didn't get a warning bar or anything like that.

You are not leaving me. Don't let him provoke you. Besides, I would much rather have you around, you actually take the time to read and understand people for who they are and you care. YOU SHALL STAY.

I'd normally say this in a PM, but since you've decided you want to make it public, fine by me.

Get off your fricking high-horse. Follow the rules for the forum or don't post in that forum. You have read all the permanent sticky notes in those forums, you know the ones that say "READ BEFORE POSTING"? If you haven't read them, I suggest you do so because your post using derogatory names for entities and/or people is a clear violation of those rules that were put into effect back during the election. If you can't use their proper name, then don't use the name at all. It sucks, I know. I'd prefer to be typing "McLame" every time I talk about McCain, or Repuglicans instead of Republicans, or even Faux News instead of Fox news, but I can't because the rules for the Soapbox don't allow me to do that.

If I break the rules, I get everyone yelling at me, why the hell should you be any different? Are you special or something so we need to let you break the rules without any penalty? Would making you follow the rules hurt your feelings and make you want to take your little ball and go play elsewhere?

Frankly you're more trouble than you're worth, but the bleeding heart liberals around here say we should go easy on you and let you do your abrasive bullcrap without any penalty. I may be outvoted right now, but I have no problems telling you not to let the door hit you on your way out.

The nice thing about the blog space is that you can post your personal opinions..well that's fine if you can, so can I. None of this is in red text, and it should be pretty damn clear it's my personal opinion, and that I'm outvoted right now by the rest of the administrators. So, you get to keep whining and making fallacious arguments and calling people names all you want...

And that right there, is exactly why you should disregard anything that he has to say to you, James. That comment is the most ridiculous, immature thing I've probably ever read from a grown adult. So just keep doing what you do. We all like you here a lot.

You both sound like you are being immature to me. You disagree, big deal.

Some of our youngest members seem to be the most level-headed.

What is the soapbox for if not for us to air our disagreements. I may think that what some say in that forum is ridiculous, but I still want to hear what's on their minds. They may be no more than political die-hards, in which case I'm likely to get a little bored. But there is a time and place for everything and the soapbox covers a lot of territory. Let's keep it lively by speaking our minds, not by turning our backs.

James, Dan, play nice. :P Some of our youngest members are watching closely.

My friends-

I used to be a moderator here for over a year and a half. I know that when the moderators have decided to ban someone, they get real petty like they are looking for a reason.

In this case I got a warning because I called the Huffington Post the Huffington Pest and the DailyCos the DailyCommie. Hell- these are lefty blog sites and not even real news.

Technically this is a violation of the rules (demeaning names) but it caught me by surprise. I thought that applied to people not to wanna-be news sites that have been caught lying about the facts and committing plagerism.

It's just a matter of time before I slip up and get banned. I'm a hot-head and don't suffer fools gladly. Rather than leave on my knees I'd rather walk out standing up. This way I at least get to clean out my blog.

The conflict with DK is just part of the problem. Like he said in his diatribe in my blog I am abrasive and more trouble than I'm worth. I think this is the consensus of opinion with the moderators because it sure looks that way.

Don't worry: I'm not going far. I'm a fixture at Awesomedude.
