It's not directly reply to the question.

My favorite gay thing abstract is being someplace, being myself or seeing someone whom I know is gay and you don't have to been gay or labeled as gay. That's roundabout I know but that really is my favorite gay thing. Not being "gay" just being human.

Favorite gay thing specific: Berlin, Germany.

You can do the above, see the above, experience the above and just live :-) Or you can be the hottest, biggest, baddest, sauciest gay whatever and you'll get "high fived".

One thing I was thinking of yesterday. When your gay, you can fit a wide range of being "gay normal". If your gay, but masculine and fit the traditional qualities of a man, then everyone is like, "oh, he's just a normal gay dude". If your effeminate and fit more the stereotype of a gay guy, then people are like "oh, he's a typical gay guy", which they consider normal for a gay man to be. Where as if you are straight, you are expected to fit the narrow view of what it is to be a man.

The first thing that comes to mind is that Beyonce song they did in the first season of Glee. I laughed so freakin hard! Now I can't hear that song on the radio without thinking about the show.

I am one of those folks who loves Gravitation. *blushes* shh! don't tell! I don't generally care for anime, so that one sneaked up on me and my friends tease me to no end.

Favorite song: "What do you want from me" (however that's spelled) by the to-die-for sexy Adam Lambert. He's so tall, it's unreal. I was unimpressed by the awards show performance he gave after his loss on American Idol, but I just fell in love with this song and now I'm a fan.

Favorite movie: "Parting Glances"

Favorite book: Crossing Borders

Favorite TV show: American version of Queer as Folk. I agree that Hunter's part was messed up. They could've done so much with that. I also disliked the overall ending, but then I'm a sucker for happy endings. The British version was neat in so many ways, but ... I dunno. Maybe I'm too American. lol.

Favorite Gay Book and Movie: A Home at the End of the World. While not blatantly 'gay,' I think it was a beautiful portrayal of love and all its idiosyncrasies. Latter Days was an awesome movie, too!

Favorite Gay TV Show: Queer as Folk (American version). I know a lot of people complained about it stereotyping the gay community and whatnot, but it was a show about a particular group of characters and those characters became a part of my life. It was literally the ONLY show I've ever HAD to be home for every week. Now I own the series so they're at my disposal! :)

Favorite Gay Person and all around favorite gay everything: My BFF and all his beauty!

For me it's definitely Torchwood. I think Torchwood is a bit for the gay representation what Shaft was for the African Americans way back. Finally a show where the main character is a gay superhero and they don't even focus on the fact that he is gay! As far as I'm concerned Russel T Davies is a genius. worshippy.gif

When it comes to novels, I love Snow Garden by Christopher Rice.

My favorites are Gravitations, Gakuen Heaven and Junjou Romantica for Yaoi anime. Our Kingdom is a pretty good manga even if it does get a bit....off track towards the end. I've heard that Loveless and Monochrome Factor are pretty good too but I haven't gotten around to watching them yet.

Degrassi The Next Generation, the current season. Hey, you've got two gay characters (Riley and Zane) and a transgender character (Adam / Gracie). What more can I ask for?

Favorite "gay" thing... Those moments when you realize that you don't have to conform to any stereotype and are free to do/say/be whatever you feel like. Maybe it's just me, but I feel that as gay people we have a lot more flexibility in who we are "allowed" to be.

And Loveless is an awesome manga... The anime was a bit weird though. The psychology of the story is mind-blowing, and I can't wait to finish the manga series.

I actually totally agree with this. I find it so much easier to admit that I don't hate Taylor Swift after telling people I'm dating a guy. It's weird.
