Well, I've been known to do nasty and kinky before.

I understand what you're saying about the myriad of characters Paya. You run into that again, you ask and I'll fill you in.

:D I hope I was wrong! But if I am right (then I can say "I knew it! I told you so!" :D ), I think JP can't be successful - in the long term I mean. ;-)

I know you understand (I hope everyone does) and I appreciate your help - that is why I asked about Jason in the first place. So thanks again. :-) And enough of this fruitless discussion! :2hands:

I think Eric is probably one of JPs new boyfriends....his description sounded much like Andre.... Perhaps JP told him about Stefan, but Eric likes 3-somes? Hmm....

this is the only thing I hate about summer...all writers slow down, not just the ones online...

Slow down? Tell that to Sharon.

I'm not getting on her bad side...maybe "slow down" was the wrong choice of words, but even mainstream print books slow down during summer...

For Mark, slowing down would mean writing one story at a time, one chapter a day. And I don't have a bad side...I'm gorgeous all the way around. ^_^

So I haven't gotten this far in the series yet. I'm still reading '1968', but I really hope that JP grows out of this stupid attitude that he always gets and realizes that everything isn't about him.

For example, when Jeff says he wanted to go through rehabilitation alone, w/o JP. Now JP is hurt, and angry, and whatnot. It's driving me insane. I almost want to stop reading because I cannot stand his whining. Suck. It. Up! Jeff wants to do this alone. Support him in his decisions and stop acting like a spoiled brat.

Okay. Just needed to say that. Great story, by the way. :)

Mark, maybe you should open a discussion for other stories as well so others who started reading later have a room to express themselves... But that would mean opening old wounds as well... ;-)

Okay, I give up. Jeff and JP not together? Nuh uh. Not after what I went through to see them get together.

At the moment, I can't stand JP. So I'm leaving this story and waiting a while til I pick it up again.

Hey, thanks for reading. Paya, 1968 was a pretty raw story. I think it's OK to bring that one up in any thread.

If it bums you out, skip ahead to "The Land Whore."

Actually, Mark, while it might save some grief, I still think it important to read them all, in order, to know the characters and what they've gone through.

:off:

It's frightful when the readers have to moderate. :P

I believe we were discussing chapter 7.

I guess I'm going to have to abandon my theory about JP setting Stef up with Eric. JP is obviously quite smitten with him. That was really tough on Stef, though.

It was great to see Marcel and Max again.

I enjoyed the exchange between Stef and Cody. It was fun and the dialogue was great. So this is the point where Stef will discover some unique talent that Cody has and sets him up in business. Cody sells cell phones....not a lot to work with there...but we all know Stef. :D

8 inches. :o

Well, there is that! :2thumbs: I suppose I should have specified business talent. :lmao:

I just want Stef to build up an "entourage" like he had back in his slut days. 0:) Cody would be a welcome addition to Lou and Skip.

Cody has a unique talent; we'll get there soon enough. Actually though, I got the idea for his skill from Rush. Thanks Sandra.

MOI??? What did I do? You gonna whisper it in my ear or do I have to wait and see? Oh, by the way, Erik sounds so damn HOT!!! Yummilicious!

If I whisper in your ear that would take the story in a way-too-heterosexual direction. :P

You have to wait, just like Conner.

That was meant just to ease the orientation for the readers. When I read 1968 I also wanted to read the opinions of other readers on this topic. And I would search for 1968 rather than If it fits... But in case of 1968 it's better to search the yahoo group, despite its almost 1800 messages...

And to the second thing, it's better to wait and read it as it goes, it worked for me and I think for the others as well. The average human curiosity overwhelms everyone in the end and Land Whore is too much of a jump both in time and the story (other changes added up), so I wouldn't recommend skipping 1968. Wow... 4 months ago I wouldn't believe I'd say this! I was so... surprised with that twist. And angry. Sad. Maybe even disgusted. And more. SO many emotions - that really says something about the author's abilities... ;-)

And for the If it fits story - it seems that Stefan's big heart has another soul to help to! :D And I'm still awaiting a visitor from Mexico! B) It also seems that this story won't be so short as the Summer Love, great! :-) Enjoying the ride...

Well, since you said that you were 'almost scared' to have me read the ending, I read the ending anyway, and my suspicions were correct.

I think I won't read this series anymore. Don't get me wrong, I really like your stuff (big fan of 'The Gunroom' and 'The Wardroom'), but I have never disliked a main character as much as I dislike JP. It's off the charts.

But yeah, off topic.

I'm kinda curious what it was in 1968 that really turned people off of JP. If anything 1968 made me fairly sympathetic towards him.

Anyways, back on topic, good for Stef in having some fun. He at least seems to be keeping his head firmly in place by understanding Cody to be a gold digger. Maybe he'll prove everyone wrong. ^^

Great chapter, Mark! :worship::worship:

I'm really glad Stef laid things out pretty clearly for Cody at the close of that chapter. :2hands: I think Cody got the message too. It's good that Stef realizes that he's still quite vulnerable.

So, are we looking at Cody the Porn Star??? :P

As for Marcel, he definitely needs to grovel.

I really like this series. I still enjoy reading it, in fact more and more :-). It's so relaxing to read them. And the "family concept" is really great thing. This was a very pleasant chapter :great: (for me, not for Stefan though...;-) ).

ch 9 and 8:

well, these twinks :)

I am amazed in finding a real top character.

Is Cody going to be changed into a bottom, eventually... :)

Well, Mark, you seem intent on proving the maxim, "Things always get worse before they get better." Poor Stef. :( I'm wondering if Cody is tuned in enough to support Stef through this latest blow.

Super chapter! :worship::worship:

Mark,

These last two chapters with Cody have been fantastic. Like everyone else, I'm eagerly awaiting each new chapter.
