Question on Best Of Nifty... on the A B C D etc. column, what do the Y N and ok mean? I've looked on that page for an explanation but there is none, all I can figure out is that it might be Yes, No, OK? if so, how do you do a review?

TIA for the help!!

A through M represent individual reviewers on the BoN panel.

'Y' - means Yes - recommended

'OK' means that the story was okay in the individual reviewers Point of View.

'N' means No - not recommended

Hope this helps!

An absolute must read is John Walsh's Fraternity Memoirs:

Fraternity Memoirs

Mark, do you know of any place where that story might be completed? I went to look and it has not been updated since Dec. 2003. When I first started reading stories little did I know to look at the dates or check the last chapter to see if it was completed, recently updated or simply abandoned/on hiatus. I don't know how many stories I've read where they were not updated for years so I really don't like getting caught up in a story I am really enjoying then be left out without an ending. Sometimes I just have to make an imaginary/my own ending for my own satisfaction! :P But it's still upsetting nonetheless!

There are a set of reviewers for the Best of Nifty list. They are anonymous (hence the letters, rather than names), but if you find a reviewer whose taste agrees with you, you can can see what else they have recommended.

The Y, N, ok indicates if the reviewer thought the story should be in the Best of Nifty list. Y means Yes :D, N means No , and ok means that the story was okay, but maybe not good enough for the Best of Nifty list.

He's not going to finish it Rush. There's a thread on here where I explained it (if I get energetic I'll go find it and post the link). But even as an incomplete story, it's great.

Besides being a great story, Fraternity Memoirs helped inspire AdamP to write Cross Currents.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted suggestions.

It took a while but I've tried quite a few of them and I'm now in love with Libby Drew. Her writing is great; clever plots, detailed characters and generally realistic story lines with just the right splash of drama. I tried to stick to finished stories but Truth in Advertising was way too good to pass up.

Cheers,

Wynter

An entertaining and amusing story at Nifty is "Snaked" in the High School section, I believe.
