Happy 26th birthday, JJ. I hope you celebrated it with a threesome with Hunter Parrish and another hot cast member of Godspell in your penthouse that overlooks 5th Avenue.

Oh gawd at this stage JJ is a total wreck, addicted to Oxy he started taking when he was skating and he drinks too much because his skating career was never what he wanted.

He's been to Passages Malibu more times than Nick Nolte, threw up on Will's husband, Alistair, at their wedding and lost Riley at the mall for six hours once......

I'm actually rooting for JJ to be a trainwreck. Someone needs to be of Brad's kids, and Darius and Will don't seem like people who'd go trainwreck-y. Diva personalities come with some pretty big highs and lows, and the crash down should be interesting.

I'd rather JJ had drunken sex with Hunter Parrish and some Broadway chorus member at his 5th Avenue penthouse, though. Likely after chasing a bottle of Ketel One vodka with some oxy after spending the past couple of days "up" after downing some Adderall. Hopefully he got into a slapping bitchfight with Johnny Weir at some hot New York City nightclub, as well.

It's always going to be cool knowing that Mark gave me a name/birthdate tribute in his signature online serial. The kid's a brat, but damned if I wasn't one when I was fourteen.

It'd be funny if, for JJ's 15th birthday, Will gets Gathan to show up, and JJ throws an absolute hissyfit. Goddamn, if he's anywhere close to what I'm like when I throw one...geez...let's just say I have/had the corner on bratty hissyfits.

I can honestly see JJ being another Billy... Just sayin'

I can't see Billy happening, because figure skating and the vigor of Harvard-Westlake should keep him out of trouble during high school, but I can definitely see a repressed JJ throwing himself into the party scene when he's 20 years old to make up for lost time. That's a pretty common reaction kids have when they finally get to be more independent and with less rules.

He also seems to have more of a backbone to him, which Billy never really had, and I think he'd be able to say "no" if some friends wanted to drive drunk.

Awwww, come on Mark! You haven't killed a "mainstream" character in AGES. if it's not gonna be JJ, at least give some consideration to JP!

Especially since he's one of Robbie's four sons. I feel like anything that would make Robbie cry would get the pitchforks out. It's especially why I can't see you actually killing off Darius, because Darius is closest to Robbie.

Bah! "because the fans wont like it" is the lamest excuse....

"does it work for the story?" now thats a good reason for writing something. I'm dreaming of JJ being ruthlessly slaughtered by a team of hockey players, who, being sick of his smarmy attitude and taunting of "skaters", sharpen the edges of their hockey sticks and slice him like salami on the Ice. But then, I'm pretty moderate in my tastes....

Story-wise, you've got a legacy character who is growing up in an extremely competitve world with insane expectations about cultivating a pristine image that goes completely against what his family and rearing would indicate. He also has to balance the heavy demands of a top-notch private school against a time-intensive sport. Already you've got enormous pressure and conflict coming at him from all sides. From all accounts, the world of figure skating has all kinds of crazy stuff behind the scenes that would provide a lot of dramatic soapiness. That's not even going into the fact that eventually he'll have to come to terms with the fact that he's actually the bastard son of a 60-year old man who screwed his 25-year old relative and gave her money for crack. For this story itself, you've got a character who's seeing the one true friend and mentor he has leaving the parent he's closest to behind.

The storyline potential there is pretty damn good, if we're going with what works for the story. I'm not saying I'm against killing JJ off, but come on- you can clearly see where there's a helluva lot of potential there.

Wow. Sharon was simply hoping he got hit by a bus.

Hey, someone brought something interesting up. Billy died at 15 years old. JJ's almost 15. If you did kill off JJ at the same age that Billy was when he died..I wonder if it would make Brad think of Billy.

Shall we find out? I think you're just taunting Sharon. Posted Image

no need to, is there? despite his tantrums, I like JJ...........he seems to be such a baby at times.........is endearing, or so I think.

I'm sure if he's alive by his mid-20's, he'll grow up into a pretty cool person. Especially if he goes off and moves to a different city from his siblings, and sets up a social circle where people have never even heard of his brothers. I actually think that'd be good for him...I picture Will and JJ having weekly skype sessions to stay in touch.

JJ is going to be a helluva lot better looking that Macaulay Culkin, that's for sure.

Although I do see him sampling the NYC party scene.

JJ has got something that will stop him becoming like that. He has a family that loves him. Two brothers who would do anything for him. As for Brad thinking of his brother Billy. I don't think a day goes pass without him thinking about Billy. That goes for Clarie, Isodore, and JP too. Families don't get over lose like that. No matter how long ago it was.

Well, I didn't say that JJ wouldn't get into drugs and a downward spiral. I just said he'd look much, much better going through it. Actor Wes Bentley was a heroin addict for much of the past decade and if you look at the films he was in during the time, he still looked damn good. I think if JJ became a drug addict, he'd be one of the kinds that still looked beautiful and functional.

JJ does have a family that loves him, even if they don't pay that much attention to him, but he also has a pretty big diva personality, and those kinds of personalities tend to have pretty big high's and low's. I don't think JJ's breakdown will be the last one to happen, especially when he gets further into his career and the pressure starts mounting to make the 2006 Olympics.

Happy 27th birthday, JJ. Hopefully by 2012 you're on speaking terms with your brothers.
