Now for some Joined By Blood news....

 

It took me a couple of days longer to finish the story that had a deadline. Luckily, the deadline was a little bit later than I thought it was. I am currently working on Chapter 13 and I apologize to all my readers for the delay. I hope to have it uploaded by the end of the week, but worst case scenario is beginning of next week. After that, posting will resume as normal! Any questions, please feel free to ask!

Now for some Joined By Blood news....

Okay, delays are fine and they happen. I was afraid this was going to be another one where it was finished and then posted all at once. I can wait, not so patiently, but I can wait. :)

Also, while I'm thinking about it... I want to send a great big thank you to my beta's and editors who have been helping me on this story! I don't think they get enough recognition for all the work they put into helping me make sure that each chapter debut's with as few errors as possible. So THANK YOU guys and gals for all that you do, I couldn't do it without you!

Okay, I know people are probably beginning to think that the next chapter is never going to be posted, it is, I promise. It has been a hectic week and a half... My hubby's vacation started two weeks ago... we spent the first week out at the lake with 31 of my family members, so really didn't have time to write or even THINK! In that time, we had our anniversary, my birthday, my niece's birthday, a nephews birthday, two other nieces birthdays, and my mother-in-laws birthday. Since most of you know that I am constantly at war with the in-laws, imagine my surprise when my hubby (pain in the ass that he is) bugged me until I finally agreed to go to his mother's with him... it went ok, and that's all I am going to say. Other than a couple of commitments that I have this coming week, my schedule should be mostly free. My hubby goes back to work on Monday (though only for a week). I do have part of the next chapter done and if I can get all my stuff done, I plan to work on it tonight! I promise these delays are not going to be a constant thing, it's just been a bit insane here. Because of the wait, I am going to try to post two chapters this coming week, but I make no promises other than at least one WILL, come hell or high water, be posted. Thanks for sticking with me!!!

Hi Ken, sorry about the confusion! I do write under WritersDream at CRVboy, it is simply that when I actually decided on my "official" pen name, I didn't want to make them change it. They had already done it once for me after my divorce and the sudden name change also confused my readers, so I have just kept it as that over there. I hope you continue to enjoy the story and thank you for mentioning seeing the story elsewhere.

Lots of things happening this chapter, and I second the nomination for Queen of the Cliffhangers. I had a commitment to attend to, so I was alternately hoping that I'd reach the end and that it would keep going. I did finish the chapter before having to leave, but I was all wound up with the tension of the story and the frustration of having wait for the next chapter to see when Vik would get there.

 

Great story, Renee. Good luck recuperating from all the family events and getting back to Vik, Damian, Dante, et al.

Thanks so much for joining in on the forum discussion for Joined by Blood. I'm glad you were able to finish the chapter before you had to leave, though there were times I thought it could be longer myself. That's just where the story left off, though I am currently working on Ch. 18 so there shouldn't be too long of a wait to find out what happens next. I hope you enjoy what I have planned for the guys. As for the nomination for Queen of Cliffhangers... well... I don't really do cliffhangers, lol... it's just that with the changing POV, when I have to change who's thoughts we're seeing, it might seem like I like cliffhangers, but it's a natural break for the story :). (That's my story and I'm stickin to it!) I hope you continue to enjoy!!

I read the chapter and reviewed it by stating it was unbelievable that Becca got in to the heart of Vik's lair with no uproar or notice. My prior assumption that Becca was not the "great" evil prophesized to Dante that would take the triad to thwart, is henceforth reconsidered. The announcement in this forum states there are only 2 more chapters. That leads me to believe things are much closer to a resolution and hence Becca must be part of that great evil. But of course, I have been surprised before....0:)

Thanks for the comment and the review!!! I can't say how Becca got into the lair, but everything will become clear in the next chapter. I love knowing that I have my readers wondering what is going on and trying to figure it out. As far as the two chapters, I really could take the story further, but I think I'd end up just going in circles with it, hence the two chapters. I'm so glad that you are enjoying the story and can't wait to hear from you on the next chapter!!!
