Site Administrator Cia Posted June 18, 2011 Site Administrator Posted June 18, 2011 In the interest of improving my writing I'm always trying to learn how to actually write better. I'm not just talking about the mechanics of writing but how I write my plot, my characters, making dialogue natural and believable... There is always room for improvement and there are a lot of resources out there to help beginning writers. To that end I'm posting a link to a phenomenal website I've found. The Crafty Writer's Online Creative Writing Course has a 8 session course on different aspects of creative writing that range from how to translate a single idea into a story to tips and ideas on how to market your work and get published. Within each course are several exercises that can help you translate the session information and put it to use. I intend to work through this course and then post my exercise work in my forum. If anyone wants to share their own progress they are more than welcome to do it there as Mrs. Smith will respond to comments but will not critique work of course. I figure there are enough of us here that we can critique each other.
SpazzMonkey Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 I'm going to check this out and maybe link some people I know on other cites that may enjoy checking this out. Looks interesting. <3

Looks interesting. <3 It is. I've been working on it slowly, just trying to absorb the lessons and improve my writing as I go. I hope you enjoy it! Welcome to GA by the way!
Dolores Esteban Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Great link, Cia. I worked through the lessons. There's really useful advice. What most intrigued me were the poems, to my own surprise. They were easy to write.
AnytaSunday Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Cool, I'm going to check this out. I think it's great to learn more about writing in all aspects. Cheers. 1
