JWolf mentioned Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens for Pete in the English Year, and I gotta admit, I really, really like his pick: What faces do you see for JWolf's characters?
methodwriter85 Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) Channing Tatum circa She's The Man as Mike the Cadet: I remember I thought of Channing Tatum as like that thuggy boy from the Mountain Dew commercials...he continued said image in this basketball movie he did, as well as Step Up! This is the first and only movie I remember him being in where he really had a boy-next-door look to him. I also thought that, similiar to Mike, Channing Tatum's face is actually pretty pedestrian and average-looking. What sets him apart from every other young non-ugly guy is his rocking body combined with his charm and easy likeability. Plus...I don't know, Channing Tatum's always kinda given off a slightly bisexual vibe to me. Not that I think he's a secret 'mo, but I could easily picture him having hooked up with a guy or two in his time. Edited March 5, 2013 by methodwriter85

My thing about it Alex is that he's too thin and wiry and for Pete...Pete isn't supposed to be this ripped God-like guy. Not chunky, either, but not the perfect six-pack type, either. Dave just gives off such a frat boy vibe. Maybe James Maslow from Big Time Rush as Lee? methodwriter85 Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 (edited) My second pick for Corbin is Brendan Dooling, from the Carrie Diaries. He fits what my view of Corbin is- a really cute guy with a nice body, but not an Adonis type like Mike- more a guy who's really cute in a slightly nerdy way that gets people interested in him through his wit and intelligence. And who looks really, really good in tight preppy clothes. The English Year has been pretty vague about what Corbin looks like...there hasn't been an "I looked in the mirror and marveled at my 5'10" and 165 pound frame with beautiful green eyes and short brown hair" moment yet. I kinda like that there are a lot of ways JWolf could go with how Corbin looks. I do feel like Corbin's probably got a WASP look to him, and I think he'd be sweet-looking so that people are totally disarmed when the claws come out. Edited May 19, 2013 by methodwriter85

For some reason I picture Corbin to be a tad more rugged. Oh, and I do like Alex P. for Pete. Haven't seen any of his movies as an adult, but I loved him as Alex Ryder. =) And speaking of "The English Year", does anyone know what's up with that? Jon didn't go off on a sabbatical or anything, did he? That's actually why I was checking out his forum page, to see if he wrote anything about updating.
