A little toilet paper over the offending and unwanted guest and a quick flush works just fine to eliminate the problem. 2
sandrewn Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 This spider is awfully good at impersonating a bud from a tree 2

This reminds me of the song "Oliver", from the musical of the same name, and one part of the lyric goes live this: "Pounce him! Trounce him! Pick him up and bounce him!" From what I see above, I offer these lyrics for the spider equivalent: Thrash it! Bash It! Stomp the ground and smash it! 2

I didn't realize they were such craftsmen, err chaftsspiders that they could construct the trapdoor in such a way that it had a lip on it, and then it also created a matching lip around the hole so the trapdoor didn't fall all the way down the hole when it closed. That would take more planning and creativity than I thought spiders were capable of. That make me wonder if any spider might be capable of planning revenge against a human that killed its spouse? And if it happens to be a poisonous spider, that could man a bite and injecting more poison than usual. 1
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted July 24, 2025 Site Moderator Posted July 24, 2025 I saw that lip also and thought it might be using a lawn sprinkler. If it was, it's in for a surprise. 2
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted July 26, 2025 Site Moderator Posted July 26, 2025 I think the spider could be the potential winner in that battle. 2
