"Move Your Feet" by Junior Senior -When John's band performs lame covers of popular songs. "Ignition" by R. Kelly "Get Low" by Lil Jon -When Christian performs a song from a hit Broadway show. "Ladies' Choice" from Hairspray I knew a kid who tried to be Link in a dinner theater production of Hairspray. I'm going to admit that I pretty much avoided the musical because I didn't think it was going to be nearly as good as the '88 original. Then I saw the movie version and it wasn't half-bad, which means the actual musical must have been something. Which you can see this Wednesday on NBC as the 4th annual Live Musical event! -The party continues. Christian gets complimented by Daniel, who then drops the guy as soon as John saunters up. Leaving Christian alone for Will to move in. "Get Busy" by Sean Paul 1

"Theme From The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" -When Will rides the horse. "Theme From the Magnificent Seven" I have a distinct memory of my 2nd grade class doing a twirling baton ribbon dance to this song at a high school football game. 1994, I think? Thank god my family is poor and didn't have a camcorder back then. LOL. 3
methodwriter85 Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Good choices! "Chicks Dig It" seems like a Preston anthem. 1
methodwriter85 Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 Chapter 43 -Buzz's funeral. "When I'm Gone" by 3 Doors Down I really associate this song with the War on Terror/The Iraq War, probably because of the video being very military and this song hitting it when the wars were heating up. "I Hope You Dance" by LeeAnn Womack -When Will and Dally passionately kiss. "I've Been Waiting for A Girl Like You" by Foreigner -When Will hears the song that makes him think of Zach. "Crimson and Clover" by Tommy James and the Shondells -When JJ gets an unpleasant morning surprise. "Angel of the Morning" by Juice Newton I love that Deadpool revived this song. 3
Mark Arbour Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 I would never have thought of Crimson and Clover for that scene, but it's perfect. Nicely done! 1
methodwriter85 Posted August 10, 2017 Author Posted August 10, 2017 (edited) I was originally going to use "Your Body Is A Wonderland" by John Mayer yet again to evoke the fact that the song was EVERYWHERE back in 2002-2004 but I decided to go retro for that one. Honestly, I'm kind of tired with 2002-2003 music by now. LOL. Luckily I have decades of other music before then that i can work with. Edited August 10, 2017 by methodwriter85 2
methodwriter85 Posted August 30, 2017 Author Posted August 30, 2017 (edited) Chapter 46 -When Brad describes how he likes a challenging lover to Jake. "Hurt So Good" by John Mellencamp -When the surgeon describes the surgery that had to be done on Scott's face. "Eyes Without A Face" by Billy Idol I really got into this song because it was on Nip/Tuck. I loved the first two seasons of that show. (I would later learn that Ryan Murphy shows are usually only good for the first couple of seasons- he's lucky Popular only lasted two years.) Stefan would so Tivo that show. (It premiered on July 23rd, apparently.) Edited August 30, 2017 by methodwriter85 1
methodwriter85 Posted September 8, 2017 Author Posted September 8, 2017 (edited) Chapter 47 -When Will and Zach have some nookie at the hotel. "Urgent" by Foreigner -When Will and Zach end up in a threesome with an assistant coach. "The Stroke" by Billy Squier I'm on some early 80's kick right now for some reason. Eh. Whatever. Edited September 8, 2017 by methodwriter85 3
MrM Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 (edited) I've been doing similar things with my Brandon Smiling story and with Comsie's Billy Chase story. There was a recent sex scene in that story that was just juicy. What's cool is I've been finding some unknown artists who come up with some of the best music for stuff like this. This one is by Trevor Something who is a Retro Wave artist that calls back a lot of the early 80s vibe with a modern sensibility. This song is so uckfing hawwt! Edited September 9, 2017 by MrM 1
methodwriter85 Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 Chapter 48 -When Operation "Stop JJ From Being A Bitch" starts. "Mad World" by Gary Jules -When JJ ruminates while listening to John Carullo's music. "Everything You Want" by Vertical Horizon 1
methodwriter85 Posted December 24, 2017 Author Posted December 24, 2017 Chapter 50 -When Carullo shows JJ his version of New York City, far away from the socialite version of New York that JJ inhabits."Uptown Girl" by Billy Joel I toyed with using the Westlife cover that's closer to the time period of the story, so you can go with that one if you'd like to. Billy Joel writes SO much about New York/New Jersey, though. -When JJ and Carullo have lunch at the Italian restaurant, and JJ finally realizes that he's got a crush on Carullo. "Oggum Boggum Song" by Brenton Wood -When JJ and Carullo get it on. "Let Go" by Frou Frou 1

methodwriter85 Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 Chapter 52 -When Brad contemplates the situation after they realize they've all been played. "Barracuda" by Heart -When JJ and John have sex. "Crazy on You" by Heart -When JJ and John have their fight. "What About Love?" by Heart -When JJ leaves John, fuming about what happened. "Stranded" by Heart -When Will fantasizes about Patrick Christian, and leaves him a message. "Magic Man" by Heart Yeah, so I went with a theme. Their 1970's classic rock phase and their 1980's sell out rock phase are both pretty awesome, honestly. 2
