My first Sergeant Major put it best I think. It was at the end of his briefing to his squadron ncos, just prior to a full parade dress rehearsal. Remember gentlemen, he said, " If you get them by the short and curlies, their hearts and minds will follow."

Now you should know, he was a big and mean SOB and we knew that if we screwed up, it would be our short and curlies, up for grabs, so to speak. A very inspirational and motivating talk it was, indeed.
