FYI, Craig, mancunian, passed away earlier this year. I'm not too sure how well publicized it was. I found out from @Albert1434, who was a good friend of his.

You're preaching to the choir, buddy. I even cry rereading my own stories.   GA is a community, and your post gives credence to that. I was inspired by the writers on here as well, way back when (and still am), and totally get what you're saying. I have great appreciation for what @Myr and his support team have built here... and am thankful for all those folks I have met and engaged with over the years. Happy writing, friend. Cheers! Gary

A few health issues plus the evil dachshund puppies have rather stunted my creativity.  I have a couple of things,stewing away.  Next week we have two weeks in the mountains of N Spain (Los Picos de Europa) without internet so I’m hoping to do a follow up to the little thing I wrote about the last potter..

I'm sorry to hear about the health struggles. There are some others going through health struggles as well on the forum, not to call them out or anything. I wish all of you a speedy recovery. I am definitely looking forward to reading more about those characters!

I third this, and not just because my penname's Thirdly. 🤣 I have much love for everyone mentioned and several others Bennie doesn't know yet. But we all have a soft spot for Chris. ❤️

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!  

It's great the way that fellow writers support each other and the feedback from readers is a big part of why a lot of us keep going. 

Challenges get in the way of everyone at some point. Even though I haven't been as present on the site the past year, I know when I am here it's a safe place to be.

Girl, even when you're not physically present, you're present in our hearts. Dont even fret about that. 🥰

So glad that you found a place that you feel safe and are finding friendships in unexpected places.  Visit with others, find your own voice so that you can tell your tales, and find a place that we all feel the love from those around us.

@BendtedWreath, thank you for the mention. While I haven't been submitting entries lately, I have been vocal in supporting the authors whom I read, I am constantly amazed at the wide variety of different types of offerings. To me, and along with the comments, is why this site ranks among the best story sites.

We are blessed that so many put in the effort to create something for us to enjoy. There are days when I am effusive in my praise, or impatient while awaiting the next chapter/story. And then there are those days when the author truly earns their pay, as demonstrated by some of the strident, not-so-kind, or stupid comments I have left. To that, I can only say that the author has truly earned my respect by engaging me so.

I guess what I am trying to say is, it's the author's fault that my alter-ego...Uncle Cranky chimes in occasionally.... that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!! 

I genuinely have no idea what I did to be included on this list of luminaries, since I'm one of the least social people on here, but thank you for the mention all the same.

I am so flattered to be included with such a vastly varied and involved group of people.  I have not taken the plunge to offer up yet my own writing,  but believe me, its in there struggling to get out.

I'm humbled to be mentioned with such amazing company! Honestly, I'm not sure how big my contribution is... Sometimes, my insecurities make me overthink - is my English good enough, did I express my thought well, was my humor offensive... Nevertheless, I've got nothing but the support from GA members, I've learnt a lot and had some great fun. Cheers to all!
