Comicality Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Openly gay since he was 13, Jack Andraka had to fight hard to get his work noticed after being turned down because of his age. But is now being globally recognized in the fight for early cancer detection in the pancreas! So kudos go out to our gay teens out there! Reach for the stars, and don't let them dismiss you! Not ever! 2
JamesSavik Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Jack is awesome. Even with the fame and recognition, he's down to earth, polite and friendly. He represents our community with class. 2

Comicality Posted July 20, 2016 Author Posted July 20, 2016 Hehehe, very proud, indeed! Proud of you too, CB! I tried to put a Swiffer together once...many lives were lost. 1 2
MrM Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 (edited) This makes me feel dumb for being proud that I put together my new swifter all by myself this past weekend... Don't feel bad, CB. I never could get mine together good enough to work. I went back to things I could understand like brooms, mops, and old (clean) underwear dust cloths. Edited July 20, 2016 by MrM 1
Page Scrawler Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 Jack has also written an auto-biography, titled Breakthrough, which is an excellent read. His accolades have earned him audiences with the Clintons, the Obamas, and even the Pope.
