Unpublishing - New Update

I forgot to mention this in the other announcement because I forgot he implemented the code for this so fast.  This affects all authors, including staff.  You can no longer Unpublish something with one click.

When you click "Unpublish" on a chapter or Story, you get this:

(You can see I have Moderator options, you'll only see the others)image.png

There is a current bug that does not show this to everyone, but that will be corrected soon.  ALL people on the site will see the story information and Removal banner, but not be able to access anything.

This will finally fix the staff headache of surprise removals.

I have an unpublished chapter but can't see this. I tried from notebook and tablet. I sent a message to Cia.

I'm in the same position as you, Dolores. Cia asked me to try something which didn't work. I think there are bugs, hopefully ones that are easy to squash.

If you have a chapter story that hasn't been published yet, then you shouldn't see this anyway.

If you are seeing a blank reason, that means it was unpublished prior to the upgrade.  That bug is also being addressed.  It should not affect your ability to edit and post said chapters.

I found a bug with Unpublished Chapters. I posted one today to my prompts, that I was going to flip the switch on after I made sure it formatted correctly. But, it went to the chapter page, with the story blank and an orange bar across the center. Here's a screenshot.

Yup.  We've already reported that bug and the programmer is working on it.  It'll post normally if you publish it.

Thanks, Myr. I just flipped the switch on it.

We've uploaded a new patch.  I think it fixed this issue, but it has introduced a couple new ones.  We are working on it.
