Site Moderator Popular Post Reader1810 Posted June 4, 2019 Site Moderator Popular Post Posted June 4, 2019 Where I like to walk there’s this really cranky bird. Always flapping its wings and fluttering about my head and squawking at me as I walk through a certain section of an open grassy area. If there’s a nest somewhere it’s hidden in the tall grass. One day, I’ll walk that path in peace... 2 5

Over here they tell you that it means good luck, to make you feel better. I did not feel very lucky. 1 3
Popular Post Kitt Posted June 4, 2019 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2019 (edited) Birds abound in the barn, most notably the grain room. We have tried putting up screening etc to keep em out but so far no luck. The little feathered freaks worked together to pull a spot down. I found it easier (and safer) to make friends. They stay out as i fill dinner buckets, and in return i leave a heafty handfull of grain on a shelf for them. Call it the cost of doing business. Edited June 4, 2019 by Kitt 2 5
Parker Owens Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 A few years ago, I had a highly territorial cardinal which spent most of its days launching furious attacks on its reflection in the windows on all sides of the house. Nothing seemed to dissuade it. 5

There is at least one robin here that regularly flies into the picture window in front of my house. Two or three times a day it (they?) knock themselves silly, lay in the front yard for a few and then head for the nearest tree. I find myself regularly looking just to make sure they didn't land in the pond and drown. 2 2

Fae Briona Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Raining hard in OKC at the moment, and the rain will continue through the day tomorrow. Joy. Could get more than 2" of rain here, which is 2" more than any of us need right now. 3 1

Other than that it’s just ridiculously cold considering it’s the 5th of June... 3
