Did some retail therapy. Four new t-shirts (I really needed some; can't stand to wear my girly tight ones right now so found something loose and comfortable), new scarf, new beanie (wool blend, woot!) and Star Wars undies, omg, is that a thing for adults? Apparently!  Feel much calmer and more comfortable now than I did before.

But they say it's good for the economy and jobs..and less of a carbon footprint. Not sure how as the trees needs processing after....

Around here they get chipped and sold for mulching.  Smells great!

 

My uncle grew trees for resale.  We harvested over Thanksgiving weekend, making them the "freshest" out there unless you cut it yourself, we planted two trees for every one harvested, and the university he worked for ran a recycling program to pick up and chip the trees then distribute the mulch.  Also, you usually do not harvest the trees until they are 7 yrs old minimum, and thats 7 years of oxygen production under it's belt!

I totally agree. My parents have a fake one that looks so real you really can’t tell the difference. It may not have that nice new tree scent, but you don’t have to water it and it doesn’t shed its needles.

My paganistic-self understands the reason for a live tree, but, yeah, it's a lot more wasteful now. What Kitt's family did/does with the recycling and planting two for every one cut, that's the right direction to go. Both the Rockafeller and White House trees go to a lumber mill and get turned into building material that is then donated to HUD.

 

We used to do live trees until the cat started drinking the tree water, and eating the tinsel. Which is not good, and when they don't pass all the way, pulling it out is a chore. Plastic trees and I like the pre-lighted ones.

i am sooooooooooooooooooo excited ... i will be 35 in a couple of weeks .. and today i got the first stereo i've ever had in my life.    i've been asking for one for  years and i suggested it again this year and Michael said ... let's go boy.   It's just a mini cuz we don't need anything huge in here.. but the sound is really good considering its size... happy boy!!

whatever radio station this is, is having it's All 80's ... i like lots of stuff from then... i know it from All Night Classics on tv ...  oh even happier...LOL

Not sure which station you’re listening to but I just heard the DJ say it’s another totally 80s night on the station I listen to.

yeah that's the one..    i used to listen to a classical station on an old phone that had an FM tuner .. i'll find it and set up the presets .. i like classical music especially if i'm writing

I know you don’t need it at home now that you have a stereo, but, just so you know, Boom 97.3 has an app as well.
