Yep it was a mess. When we made our way back to the train station from Preston Park I was tripping over all the trash left everywhere. The cleaners were just starting the clear up, I didn’t envy them the job. By this morning it was all cleared ready and safe for the family event. They even gave litter picking jobs (paid) to some of the homeless/street people, so at least some good came from it.

The house is nice though they still need to do quite a bit of renovating/deco as it seems the previous owners really really liked colors  But from the terrace you have a full view of the Chartreuse massif which is breathtaking.

Tomorrow I'm planning a small walk from the house by the small village down the road to a little river. It should take about 1h to 2h depending if we stop at the river or keep going to make a loop.

Sounds charming, Clo. Don't overdo it it if it's going to be hot.

Yeah, I'm not worried... it's the same ache, only worse.   And yeah, I was awake most of last night, so I got up and wrote a few times... same thing today... I wrote in three different sessions, but I got an important scene pretty much done... maybe 500 more words for this chapter.

And as for it being your profession, does that mean you get paid for it? My understanding is that professionals do things for the money, whereas amateurs just do it because they love doing it.

We never told Grandma and she hadn't read that morning's paper so she never knew but it was a bit like the Twilight Zone the way events transpired.

The problem with the establishment is it has very limited seating and the maitre d'hôtel will not accept reservations. If you're lucky you might be able to dine al fresco but then you've got to deal with the bloody rabbits.

Wait! You can do it professionally? Is there licensing involved? Do you need a college degree or other advanced training? What sort of starting salary can someone entering the field expect? Does it require continuing education credits to maintain your professional standing? Is there a guild or union membership requirement? There seems to be a lot about this "gay" thing I didn't know.

Wait is it like golf and there is a PGA (Professional Gays Association) a Senior Pro Tour for those over 50 and an LPGA (Ladies Professional Gays Association).?
