I harvested apples from two trees. When I planted them, over thirty years ago, I thought they were ornamental crab apples... I think the heirloom roots they were grafted onto, have taken over. These apples are big, red and delicious. They are in a group of trees and hang over my paddock near the front of my property... I tasted one for the first time a couple of days ago and I couldn't believe it. And yes, I used a ladder, but I tied it to the fence, and I only went up a few steps.
