Popular Post dughlas Posted November 7, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2019 It's a dreary day. Overcast and chilly. The real cold is due to arrive later this evening. The forecast from now until when we leave next Friday is for well below normal temps for this time of year. Mum is ready to go home, both her knees and my head are aching. To help cope with the cold I made a pumpkin custard bread pudding for dessert tonight and a pot of beef vegetable soup for tomorrow night's meal. Tonight we're having baked crabcakes, roasted baby sweet potatoes and seasonal veggies. 7

Hey Pagey Your pizza sounds nice (thought I'll take off all those greenery things *shudders*). I ordered one too tonight from Domino's but it wasn't exceptional. But the fridge is totally empty and I didn't see the point in going grocery shopping when I'll be gone tomorrow morning and won't be back until late Monday (and I was lady but hush). We're having a warm Autumn so far. Not much rain and temps in the 12-15°C. The weather channel showed snow for the next couple of days in the mountains starting at 1000 meters of altitude. 4 3
clochette Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 @Albert1434 is that you who knows a things or two about orchids? 🤔 4 1
Popular Post Page Scrawler Posted November 7, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2019 In other news, I saw a bald eagle on my way to work, this morning. It was flying out of a white curtain of snow over Boardman Lake. A semi truck caught fire on the road, shutting down the highway near Battle Creek. I guess those corn flakes got extra crispy. 😀 1 5

It was doing well so far until I came back Monday when I found one of the brand has turned yellowish/brownish and all the flowers of this branch are dry. I'm being very careful with watering, only putting it in a bit of water for a couple of minutes when the soil is all dry. Same thing with light, lot of light but not directly so it's on a shelf in the kitchen. I'm afraid the damages were done next week when I was gone and had turn the heating down to 15°C thought there was still light. Edited November 7, 2019 by clochette 2 1

What's bothering me is that only 1 of the branch seems to be dying... The other looks good and green with perfect flowers 4
clochette Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Maybe it's just supposed to die as it's from Lidl and not a real flower shop 4
