I need to ring Dad to see how he is settling in but the new place has a nice courtyard outside his room. The landscaping is a bit new but it should be beautiful in a few months time as the warmer weather comes along. Those beer can burgers were huge on the video. Looked good but massive I think the better word is vast! 6

Popular Post clochette Posted May 28, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 28, 2020 Almost 6am here. Dad has just gotten home from a night job (they had to turned off water for a whole village and so wait nighttime to work on and around the big pipes). The hitch from the mosquito bites I got last night while I was watering the garden woke me up. Those nasty buggers got me good: inside of my wrists and elbows, all along the forearms, back of my knees and even inside my tights! I'll try to catch more zzz 1 6

And my original don't get too close to him comment was because I was thinking of Gary's safety in the light of the current pandemic, and had nothing to do with me being jealous, or just not wanting Gary to have some fun himself. I may be a wizzendammer (or whatever the word was that Albert used), but I'm not a killjoy. 7

Fortunately, for me, the itching tends to go away after an hour or so. But how on earth did they manage to get inside your tights! 7
Popular Post Marty Posted May 28, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 28, 2020 Happy Thursday, all. Beautiful day here. Currently 20°C (68°F) with a high of 24 (75) promised. And the forecast suggests this could continue into the early days of next week. Might make removing the roots of those old bushes a bit more difficult. Yesterday I managed to get another one out, and made a start on a second one. That second one is proving a bit more awkward, but I'll get the bugger out eventually. Might leave it till late evening though, when the day will hopefully have cooled down a little; and there will be shade to work in as well. I'll probably take it easy for much of the day. I'm thinking of mowing the lawn, and maybe preparing a few seed beds for broad beans and peas. And, if the day gets too hot, I could always head indoors and perhaps wash down some of the woodwork.. I've almost finished my second coffee, so I'll head out and actually face the day shortly. 7

I mean the inside of my tights as the top part of my legs near my crotch not the garment. I don't wear tights under a short fashion faux pas! Popular Post dughlas Posted May 28, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 28, 2020 G'day y'all. It's overcast and warm, 75/24° with 100% humidity. The storm yesterday left us stuck in a tropical airmass until the weekend. Don't plan on doing much as my head is still being problematic. 2 1 1 2

Popular Post Headstall Posted May 28, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 28, 2020 Good morning/evening, all! Satellite guy didn't come yesterday so I guess I'll have to make a phone call if I don't hear from him in the next hour or so. No sun today... still feels warm and muggy, though. 1 1 5
