Thanks, buddy. In some ways I feel weird talking about my stuff on this thread, but that's kind of silly since this is my supposed 'fan club'.   I think it more as our chat room.

I just posted I felt Morningstar is my best work, and I do believe that--I get PMs and comments constantly about when I'm going to write a Book Two--but in the five years since I wrote it, I have gotten a lot of comments about "Endings" being my best work, and lately, a lot of similar opinions expressed about "Sidewinder" and "Larkspur". My point is, it is in the eye of the beholder... or in this case, the reader. We all prefer different things, although I'll read most anything if the writing is good.

I'm just happy readers keep coming back for more, but yeah, I think Morningstar would hold its own against most fiction out there, mainly because I am my own worst critic, and I see its merits clearly. 

I'll stop now... self promotion over.

I've read your work and there is no question about your talent or ability to tell an excellent story.  It is a preference thing, not a slight on your skill at all.  I just want to be clear on this point.

It is definitely different.  I shy away from vampire and werewolf stories.  Geron Kees recommended this one to me, so I started it.  I was hooked by the third chapter.  The wolf shifter part of the story is secondary to the great characters.  The plot is more a mystery/adventure than the usual wolf shifter story. It is one of my favourite stories written by Gary.  Hope you make a chance to read it.

Traverse City is on the West Coast of Michigan.

Been getting sleep off and on tonight, lol. And not all of Texas is blanketed with snow. places like Houston will have similar temps to the one you're enjoying.
