Beautiful sun here too, but the temperature is 0C. I've been getting lost in my old poetry, being self indulgent. It's time to get off my butt and finish my chores.

Lol not really. We're not on better or worse ground. I guess we're just good at ignoring the situation. The room is always full of a tensed silence and tensed looks. 

Its the 3rd time I'm coming home since Christmas. We didn't see other for over a month in March but I heard he was in town with my grandma and they stopped at an event my uncle was to. He called and made a deposit for my birthday but when I came home the next week we saw each other for a total of 15 minutes maybe. He had bought new furniture for the living room, getting ride of my mom's and when I arrived in the afternoon She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named was coming out of the house so I got Looping out of the car and was getting back in my car when dad came out. He said they were going to dropped the rental van and he'd be home quickly. As I was invited at my brother's for my birth I told him to come with me. At 7pm dad still wasn't home so I texted him, he answered he was going to come as he'd be home late... 

Whenever I picks me on Sundays to go to grandma's we barely talk... And when we're with his family I always fele like I'm too much, they don't listen when I talk... 

Like yesterday was the deadline for the candidatures for the masters. I told him Sunday. Either he didn't listen or he doesn't realize how important it is for me cause I haven't heard from him. 

My new mantra with him is: You can't get hurt when you don't expect anything from a person

It's sad that you don't have the relationship with your father that you would like. I wish you could have the relationship that I had with my father, he was my best friend. I wish everyone could have that with their parents. I hope thing improve for you in the future, in the meantime I'm sending big hugs your way

Thanks guys. It is what it is. It's sad but I've come to terms with the fact we'll never have a close relationship and that I need to grow up from that. It's mourning the relationship we could have had. 

But in the last 2 years have opened myself to other people, I made new friends with who I have a strong friendship. I met my friend Deborah's parents only once but I have an open invite to come every weekends, I was even invite for Christmas and her mom even text me sometime just to say hi

I've also gotten closer with my brother and SIL. I get messages daily, mostly just stupid things on Instagram but still. And we call each other from time to time staying on the phone for over an hour!
