That's... very encouraging   I think I'll eat the biscuit as it is and have the strawberries in the morning 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I've baked similar in the past, I've always blind-baked sweet shortcrust pastry in a muffin tin. By blind baking using baking beans (not to be confused with baked beans) I end up with a small pastry case that I can fill with flavoured gelatin and fruit of my choice then top with whipped cream. I've never had any complaints about them.

I had to silence my smoke alarm earlier, I put some bread in the oven and then got so engrossed in writing that I forgot about it. Needless to say it resembled burnt offerings, not bread, lol. 

Luckily the second batch came out perfect.

There was some miscommunication on our part there. The hamburger meat had been cooked previously, but was reheated in a microwave.

The dough had a lot of butter so that didnt helped. Usually I just make a big one in a circle so no problem  I should have keep things the usual way and not play pretty

I prefer full chicken and joints of meat cooked on the rotisserie, there's less fat, but more flavour. For other cuts of meat and chicken portions it depends on the recipe.
