Oh this actually works better, because of course they met when they were kids.  It always works, even when it doesn't like in Wedding Plan.  Or Love in Translation for that matter.   This shit just writes itself!

Better idea: I'm thirteen years old. My parents take me on vacation to Saugatuck. Morgan is one of the year-round residents, and he charms me with his guitar playing, as well as his ability to pilot a sailboat.
