Site Administrator Myr Posted August 31, 2006 Site Administrator Posted August 31, 2006 It looks like they are going to be rereleasing Star Trek:TOS with a lot of updates. http://www.darkhorizons.com/news06/060831a.php
JamesSavik Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Booo! Cheesy effects distracted from Shatners bad acting.
dkstories Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 James, think it through....good special effects and you might not even see Shatner...
adblue Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 But, but...I *like* the original series episodes the way they were. I grew up on those. *waaah*
Luc Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Hey, the original series was great! EVERYING that you need to know in life was dealt with in Star Trek at one point or another. So many lessons in there. I'm not sure how I feel about updating things. It might be interesting in the way that colorizing the old black and white films is intersting. (BTW, I dislike colorization of black and white films for many reasons, but it is "interesting" to look at them as a curiosity.) And Shatner's acting wasn't THAT bad, for the times.
Site Moderator TalonRider Posted September 1, 2006 Site Moderator Posted September 1, 2006 Hey, the original series was great! EVERYTHING that you need to know in life was dealt with in Star Trek at one point or another. So many lessons in there. The same can be said about ST:TNG. There's also a few Star Trek skins that can be used. I have one of my hosted authors set up with a Borg skin. I have seen one for The Federation and DS9.
Drewbie Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Dunno how I feel about changing a classic show
